Had an extensive club fitting today, and these guys were the best in show. I had never even considered Cobra, and I'm still not sure I'm going to get them, but they outperformed everything else I tried (AP2's, TM Tour Burners, Ping I10 & S58, and Mizzy M-57). They had the stock Project X 5.5's in them, but I was told they played CPM's more like a Project X 6.0 in this particular clubhead for some reason. The best feature of this club for me was the sole-- I'm a "hitter", digger, etc. of the ball, and these guys handled the turf and improved contact better than anything else. It is interesting that the specs on this club say it was engineered for a higher ball flight-- it was easily the lowest, most non-ballooning flight of anything tested. Bottom line: I was surprisingly impressed.

I am looking at getting new clubs soon and had discounted any of the Cobra offerings even though my existing clubs are Cobra.

Then at the range I decided to have a play with a 6i CB Pro. I also had a Ping i5 and a Nickent 3DX 6i as well as my old Cobra.

The CB Pro is a sweet iron to hit. Not exactly forgiving - but then they aren't GI clubs. I really liked the PX5.5 shaft and was consistently hitting 165yds on the fly with tight dispersion. I was hitting my old C's and the i5's about 5-7yds shorter.

I had myself really focussed on Ping i5s or i10's but after hitting a couple of buckets of balls with the various clubs realise that the i5's feel quite dead compared to my old Cobras and the CB Pro's are an extremely "pure" feeling club.

Still not sure whether they are how I will go but they on my shortlist. It is my first play with forged irons and they sure feel nice.

Did a side by side today with the Pro CB and Callaway X Forged. Callys with PX 5.5 Flighted.

The Pro CB's have it all over the Callys. The Pro CB's are probably the nicest club I have hit of recent and I am really getting through a ton of different irons.

The Pro CB has an intermediate sole. Not as fine as the XForged but not as wide as Ping i10's.

I have to get a set...plain and simple.

Just picked up a mint used set and absolutely love the feel and ballflight. These are going to replace my Ping S-58's. These appear top be at least 1 club longer for me than the pings. Never really like the super-light AWT shafts in the Pings. These have Dynamic Gold's in them and they feel really beefy at impact. Only hit about 100 balls and one round on a cool breezy day and these perfromed better than I was anticipating. These are gonna be keepers for sure.

I will be getting a set of Cobra Pro CB's this year and I was wondering what shafts people are hitting with these heads. I know they come stock with PX but I have always hit X100. Any feedback with both shafts would be great to hear.

In my personal experience I have found the PX to have a higher trajectory with tighter dispersion and slightly longer, about 5 yards. Only Clubs I have done this comparison with were Titleist 735CM's. X100 vs. PX 7.0. Only reason the X100's are in my TP's right now is because I couldn't afford the PX upgrade at the time.

I think my next set is going to be Cobra Pro CB 5-7 PX 7.0 and Cobra Pro MB 8-P PX 7.0. I hear Cobra is coming out with a new offering later this season so I'm not jumping the gun quite yet. But I have demoed these sticks and I'm becoming a big fan.

By far the best feeling iron I've hit this year and I've hit them all. I tested the Cobra Pro CBs against Callaway's X Forged, Titleist AP2s, Ping S58, Titleist 695mbs, Mizuno MP32s and found that the Cobras had the sweetest feel, most control, and best distance for me and my game. I haven't found a club that had the exact feel of these Cobras. I own these irons with Project X 5.5 shafts. :drinks:

Interesting to read a few comments about extra distance with these clubs. Has that extra distance equated to reducing your handicaps ? There is a great saying over here....it's not how far, it's how many.

I've just ordered a set of these and was custom fitted. It was interesting as i was sure I wanted to have something like Mp57/67 combo (7 Hdcp). Eventually came down to 2 sets, these and Callaway X forged. The look af these gave it the edge. My bad shots with these 2 sets were going much straighter and further (lost less distance) than anything else. looking forward to getting a couple of strokes off my handicap.

Just got my set last week after waiting 6 weeks for them to come from America. Ordered them with PX 5.5 shaft, unbeliveable. I have gained 5-10 yards :partytime2: on each iron after changing from 695mb with s300 shafts.

The flight is high but it does flatten out more than the s300. They were definately worth the wait. :clapping:
