Just thought I would throw this out there. I've had this set throughout highschool...so its time to upgrade(graduating college now), but here it is. I've lost a lot of consistency since then, and am playing at about a 15 hdcp now :clapping: .

Yea, nothing wrong with them....but i'm going to move onto something forged soon.

 

these irons have served me well for 8 years!

 

The driver is due for replacement too. I love hitting it, but I'm giving up a lot of distance compared to all the new stuff out there.

Nice pictures. I used to own all of those older club at one time as well. They were sweet then, and they aren't bad now. Make sure to update this when you get some new sticks.

I finally decided on some irons after a long trial!

 

Here they are.

 

Mizuno mp68's with project x 5.5 shafts. 1 deg flat.

Also picked up some new non conforming wedge =p. Guess I won't be playing any tourneys soon.

Now if only I could pick a driver and a hybrid!

New putter is on the way too. I decided to go with a C&L 350 milled. Should be here in a few weeks.

 

 

Out with the old, in with the new!

I played the EXACT same driver, fw, irons and wedges from HS until this past year. After ~10 years of faithful service I have since changed out the driver for a 907 D2 and the irons for an old set of MP-33's as a cheaper alternative to the 68's.

went to the range today with them, and they are great! Two complains tho. They get chatter so easily! I'm so use to throwing my clubs into the bag,and inadvertently hit my 6 iron with my 5 iron - Ding Ding to my shiny :russian_roulette:

 

Second is the grips are slightly too thick for me. The club feels like a baseball bat in my hands. Hopefully they shrink a little with use. If not, I'll have to regrip in the future.

 

Other than that...I just need to get use to them. :yahoo:

Update on my putter. I wasn't putting very well with the Scotty, so I decided to go to a small shop this time. The alignment aid is setup like my old Teardrop td 17 FC that I played with for years.

 

All thats left for the full rebuild is a driver, fw, and hybrid. :clapping:

Thanks. I went out for a quick 9 this morning to break in all the irons and putter. Irons feel awesome on the turf. The putter is rolling the ball nicely. I think the sweet spot is slightly towards the heel, so it'll take some time to adjust. The wedge though are killing me. I didn't hit one of them solid from any distance. I might have to look at those again. Maybe time to give scratch a call.

i think you should focus on hitting them better first. dont blame the wedges after half a round
