UST V2 vs. GD Pershing

Anybody compared these shafts side by side? How did each perform? I've played a V2 but am interested in the Pershing as a comparison.

I have played both extensively, V2 always in 65 or 66 grams stiff, the Pershing in both 65 and 75 grams both stiff and regular. V2 is mid-spin, mid-high trajetory. The Pershing is, generally, a lower launch and lower spin shaft (I would say mid to low spin and trajectory), and much better feeling. The dispersion on the V2 may be slightly better than the Pershing, however. I personally prefer the Pershing 75 compared to the 65 - I find the 75 far more stable with much tighter dispersion. Overall the Pershing 75 works for me; I like the results of the V2, but it plays a bit boardy to me, and I can't stand that.

I've played both also.. currently playing the Pershing. The V2 is a good bargain for the price performance-wise. Mid-high launch, mid-spin, but it seriously lacks in feel. I'm liking the Pershing more and more each time I use it. Mid launch, low spin, great balance, and the silky feel that almost all GD shafts have. I was never too crazy about GD shafts in general, but the Pershing is a very, very good shaft and only about $20 more than the V2.

I would agree that the V2 does lack a bit in feel. The Pershing for the money is absolutely outstanding!

I agree with the other posts. The Pershing feels great and launches perfect for me. V2 is good but just doesn't feel as smooth.
