Where should I play

Heading up to Boston Mid August and Looking for a couple nice courses to hit up, looking for something near the Burlington area and something near Logan Airport aswell.

Butter Brook is in Westford (about 20 min from Burlington). I'd highly suggest it, its a great course. I posted a few pics last week. see below. I'd also second Red Tail, which is about 30 min from Burlington. Redtail is about 100 beans, Butterbrook about 75.

Nothing near Logan really, Cedar view in Saugus, is probably physically the closest but not nice. Gannon in Lynn not too bad although haven't played it. Granite Links is probably the best bet although not exactly close to the airport.

if you want to take a trip, go to red tail. granite links if you don't feel like or can't travel far.

Mt Hood is actually a very good course. I haven't played it in probably 20 years, but I've heard they put a lot of money into it over the last few years. Old style course that gets a lot of play, but you can get a lot of bang for your buck there.

I haven't played there in 5 or 6 years but yea it's rough...although I had heard that they'd put some money into it.

George Wright and Franklin park are both in Boston proper and are Donald Ross designs...they are both city like golf courses so don't expect the greatest conditions but the layouts are both awesome.

There isn't much real close to Burlington...nothign within 40 minutes anyway.

The meadow of Peabody is about 25 minutes and is a very interesting and challening course

The stowe area courses (stow acres, butterbrook etc) are all great courses but it'll take you almost an hour to get out there from burlington if there is any traffic at all.
