Had trouble registering....tried three times. Submitted all info requested and tried to log-in and said my username/password was invalid. Anyone have similar problems???

Some browsers have problems with the javascript on the registration page. There is a bailout link at the bottom of the registration page. If after you click submit, your browser just refreshes and stays on the registration page rather than taking you to the confirmation page, just click that bailout link. You will then be registered and receive a confirmation email in a short while with instructions on logging in.

Every time I try to do a golfer search I get a popup that says I have to be signed in to use it,Even tho I am already signed in.

I use the search all the time. I often need a fourth and I send emails out to lots of folks in my area.

Only once did I get a reply (and we actually played).

I'm a little disappointed in the lack of responses.

Otherwise, mygolfbuddy is a great resource!!

I've tried about 5 times to fill open tee-times that I had extra spaces for and had no luck. I'd say about 5% of the time you get a response. It's a shame because it seems like an awesome idea for a website. Hopefully more die-hard players start using it.

ps.. the search technology is spotty, but with time, I can get the search results im looking for.

I'm not sure if your experiences are indicative of the overall success rates. Its hard to know why people tend to be non responsive to a playing invite. Most of the time it is the contents of the email that determine whether there is a response. I know that the few times I have sent an invite I got responses from the people I contacted, and eventually played golf with the person. I also responded positively the one time I received an invite and played golf with the fellow as well.

Although the lack of response to playing invites is not something that we have direct control over, we are actively researching ways to increase participation. The next thing we are going to try is to allow users to send text messages to other members cell phones (cell number will remain private just like email). When we add this service we may see an increase in the use of the engine to fulfill last minute tee times. We just hope enough people participate.
