Golflogix - two novice questions

best carry case -- green stats

First time using it and it's great, especially helpful for wedge shots. But my course has four redan greens (very wide, not too deep) and the front/back stats for those greens only make sense if you were approaching it from 90* left or right. I assume yardage to the center would be about right anyway but has anyone else noticed something similar?

I ended up putting the Golflogix in my Speedcart's drink holder because I couldn't figure out a better way to carry it. I read some posts saying there is a great carrying case that happens to fit the GPS8 unit but I can't find the reference - any help would be appreciated.

Get on Ebay and put in the search field either "golflogix mount" or "golflogix case" and you should get some hits. I'm looking at the golflogix cup holder mount for my GPS8.

Regarding yardage readings, I've encountered similar situations. Some of the greens I come up on are weird shaped and, sometimes, I can't figure out which "back" and "front" the machine is referring to...in which case, I just take the "middle" reading and choose the club accordingly.

I have the Golflogix 8 and I carry mine in a glasses case. The kind you just slide the glasses in. I then use the belt clip to clip the opening closed. Because I sometimes use the belt clip and sometimes put it in a mount and clip it to my Speedcart, I take the screw on round thing and clip it to the belt clip to keep from losing it.

To me it is absolutely rediculous to pay for a carrying case when the glasses case works great. The lining inside the case protects it and the case itself provides a lot of padding. The belt clip is solid as far as gripping power on the case.

The mount I have is the one that has a "C" clamp type attachment and is sold on ebay. A little pricey but works great.
