suggestions for Shaft Change to Increase Backspin

Just went to the Roger Dunn launch monitor. Currently Hitting an SMT Nemesis 9* w/ Aldila NV 65 reg tipped to firm. Here are the readouts. I averaged n=20 trials, throwing out obvious outliers (gah, statistics is still haunting me) to get these numbers so they should be pretty accurate


Launch Monitor Brand: Vector Pro

Swing speed: 97.5 +/- 1 mph

Ball Speed: 145.53 mph

Launch angle: 11.8*

BackSpin Rate: 2013 RPM



I tend to carry the ball about 260-270... however I do get a little hooky when I try and put a little more into it. I'm a smooth tempo swinger with a natural draw, but the driver has been snapping on me just a hair too much.

I'm thinking the shaft might be a little weak? causing the clubface to close a hair and reduce the backspin...

Can anyone suggest a shaft upgrade or specs to look for to try and get a little more carry and hopefully maximize some distance?
