Blue Board vs White Board

Would like some advice about which Diamana to choose

Hi - i know these shafts have been covered before - but I would like to ask about any opinions specifically related to my swing. I am a 15 handicap, after only playing for 2 years. I have worked hard on my swing, my putting is good, but my chipping/short game prevent me from going lower.

My driver swing is around 98 mph, I tend to have a low launch. I use a 10.5 Mizuno MP600, which I love. But I think the proLaunch Red may be a bit low-launching for me. I read this quote about the white Board, which sounded good for me "Diamana White Board launches a ball slightly higher than the Blueboard but it produces a lower ball spin rate. Mitsubishi designed the shaft to allow you to use the Whiteboard in a higher lofted club head but not be penalized with additional spin rates that are common with the higher lofted club models".

Any opinions? Thx

A contentious one. The WB WILL spin less. Some have found similar launch from the WB, some lower but very few higher. The WB MIGHT launch a little higher than the PL Red. It spins a bit less IMO. The usual sound answer will be to get your figures from a launch monitor and go from there.

i have a white board, it is not for me, i think i am about a 15 handicap now and decent off the tee. you might want to look for some other options first and that would save on costs as well... peter

Stay away lol... Out of the two go for blueboard purely from what youve said... Whiteboard is for reducing spin and it really does... its not a noticably higher launch than others but will bring your flight and trajectory down and from what your saying BB will suite you better.

 

Unless your really loading the shaft and spinning the ball alot then you wont be SUITED to the whiteboard... doesnt mean you wont be able to use it, i could use a regular nvs but i play what suits my swing and thats what you should do...

Thx so much for the helpful replies. I will go for the blue board. Incidentally I saw one second hand (I live in Bangkok) - it had a small chip in the laminate but otherwise seemed to be fine. Do you think it's okay to go with a second hand shaft if you don't know the full condition?
