Long Ball for scramble

Freak....I spin the ball almost too much, so not only off the tee is it great, but it doesn't back up 15 feet with a wedge. With the mid irons, depending on the firmness of the green, I can expect it to be within a five foot circle of its divot.

Bought a box of the Freaks for a scramble on Saturday. Handed a sleeve to each of my playing partners. It was noticeably longer off the tee than my D2 Feel, my Dad's Maxfli Revolution and both of my brother's ProV1's. As far as I hit them (10+ yards longer), if they're any good off the putter I may start playing them.

 

Better come through with your Freaks next weekend broseph. For me it's either prov's and PBR or canned Amstel and rock flites...remains to be seen.

 

And if you can hit them 10 yds longer, what does that mean for someone who can actually drive the ball?

I picked up some freaks, and IMO they are probably the worst ball I have ever hit!!

 

They are horrible at best!

 

 

Stick with a quality ball like the E7, you can bomb that a mile!!

We're not looking for a ball that is all around decent and can go long, when needed (my favorite ball for this was the (RIP) dt solo; just a ball that can get long in a scramble...

The old style pinnacle long drive ball was LONG, even if it did feel like a stone. The pinnacle exception is a real long ball too. The new Fx Long are good driving balls, but not as far as the old LD balls. There is a reason the Long drive guys use these.
