BHM Golf upgrade?

These guys don't have a clue.
So I ordered an Adams Insight BTY driver with 9.5* of loft and a Grafalloy Red Pro Launch x-stiff shaft for a good price from BHM Golf. When the box arrived today I was pumped to open it, only to find the newer version an Adams Insight XTD Boxer with 10.5* of loft and an Aldila DVS 55-S. I called them and the lady on the phone had no clue, said she'd have to talk to the Manager. He called later and stated he "gave me an upgrade". Gee thanks for the upgrade with a full degree of extra loft and a shaft that's 10 grams lighter and one flex less stiff.

Don't you think I ordered the loft and shaft I did because it fits my swing speed and desired ball flight. Not to mention I wanted the BTY because it's one of the few traditionally shapped 460 cc drivers and he sends me a square driver instead. No offense to those of you rocking them, but I'm a traditionalist and do not like squares or triangles or any of these other way out there high MOI designs.

Just an FYI to beware of BHM. I'll post the resolution when I get one.

Bad news buddy. Search here for BHM golf or use any search engine to search the internet as a whole. BHM has been sued and even had a class action suit against them. This is just standard operating procedure for them. Next I'll bet you get ahold of the guy that owns the place and he'll scream and yell and rant and rave like a crazy person and then start to cry. BTW< I am being dead serious here. Check around, these guys are bad news.

UPDATE,

After calling this guy everyday for a week and being told last Friday he was sending me the correct driver, today I caught him lying. He told me Friday he'd sent it UPS that day so I asked for a tracking number and never received it, when I called for it again today he said it hadn't gone out yet. I reminded him he said he sent it Friday, then he changed his story again saying the driver was no longer available. I asked for a refund and he agreed to that, we'll see if I actually get it. May have to go to the credit card company and let them get the money from his bank.

In short BHM Golf are a bunch of old fashioned CROOKS!! STAY AWAY.

I don't have anything yet. I sent back the wrong driver they sent and keep the UPS receipt. MasterCard says with that, the invoice stating the worng driver and the order form showing the right driver it should be a lock to get my money back from his bank if he doesn't do it on his own.

How is this guy still in business.

My GUESS why he is still open-

1) he sells a lot of stuff, so the companies he has an account sell to him and look the other way.

2) he will work out an arrangement with other stores, who think he is legitimate after being referred to him by a manufacturer he does have an account with. The other small shop thinks he found a way to work with someone else to get the volume necessary for price breaks and work in a more efficient manner. (There are some "buying groups" who ban together for price concessions with the approval of manufacturers, but the small shops do not buy enough to qualify for these "select groups".) This shop may end up getting burned since this could cost him an account with a key supplier, rebates and money owed to him by BHM. Makes you wonder about the salesman who introduced the other store to this guy doesn't it? Not to mention the others who may vouch for him.

3) his dad is a lawyer

4) customers get blinded by the idea of saving a few dollars.

Just my guess - not saying this is fact.

I'm voting #4.

As evidence, I offer the fact that so much fake junk is sold on eBay.

mat562- the counterfeit is a huge problem and killing retailers. Consumers think the retailer is gouging them on high prices by comparing their selling price to what is on ebay or internet stores. People think the counterfeit stuff would be easy to spot, it is not. You would probably need to have the counterfeit and legitimate club side by side to notice it. A month or so back I posted a picture of a club from the Titleist site and a photo of an item sold on ebay. I mentioned the differences I noticed but received a couple of replies a difference could not be seen. They were that slight. I showed the picture to a Titleist salesman. His comment "Wow, is that a good one".

The major manufacturers do not allow any of their new products sold on ebay or the account is at risk. Same is true for items sold below the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP). Once an items is "discontinued" the restrictions are usually removed.

Best bet is buy at the store. If it must be purchased on line check the manufactures site to see if the store is listed as an authorized retailer.

[/size]Please read this story carefully, and if anyone (other than Mr. Wonderful himself) finds fault, please let me know. I did not agree to the order, I sent a shipping price request. I was extremely clear as to what was willing to pay in the email request. He didn't have to call me back, if he couldn't ship a hat from Chicago to New York for $5, he could simply have deleted the request.

BUT NOOOOOO.

When I didn't simply accept his exorbitant shipping fee, he proceeded to flip out. And when I say "flip out, " I mean he called me 6 times and sent me a text on my cell within one hour, threatening and yelling at me. "I'm gonna bomb you," "I'm gonna kill you," "I'm gonna sue you, "F&%k you, " "F&%k your mother, " "You piece of F&%king sh&t, c&ck-s&cking, mother f&cker, " "you cheap New York F&gg%t."

Who talks to potential customers that way? I'm an easy kinda guy, if he made any compromise, he most likely would have gotten the sale, but he lost his effen mind. It was hilarious at first, but eventually, I realized I was dealing with a foul-mouthed 5-year-old child. This guy wigged out like that little retard on youtube that tried to shove the remote up his bum (if you haven't seen it, look it up). BHM Golf is run by a mindless lunatic that should be locked up in a rubber room. I hope it's a one-man operation, because I'd hate to think about him with employees. This troubled salesman has no business in the public retail economy.

His low prices are subsidized by overcharged shipping. I know this because I sell stuff too, and ship things out all day every day. I wanted a deal, and paying $22.75, for a hat I can get locally for $16.99 didn't seem like a good deal to me.

I don't care what anyone out here thinks of me, but I sincerely hope I can warn a few people before they get sucked into the world of crazy that is BHM Golf.

This place actually has a store front about 5 minutes from my house. I've walked in there before...it's a disaster. The guy that was working had zero interest in me actually being in the store. They have a very limited amount of product on display and most of it is 7 years old.

I did ask him how much a fitted Mizuno hat cost and he said $12, which I thought was very cheap. The guy was such a ****** that I decided not to give him my business anyway.
