I am going to be in mt. pleasant michigan... Next thursday and would like some help with a fairly inexpensive course to play.. Any ideas??

One good course Called the Pohlcat in Mt. Pleasant is fun to play.

One GREAT course is called Bucks Run and is also in Mt. Pleasant. These two are only 7 minutes apart on M-20This course is awsome and should be about $ 50-65 to play. Best finished hole in Michigan Period. Play this one if you can, but both are always in mint condition.

From Mt. Pleasant you are about 20-30 minute drive to Tullymore and St. Ives as well.

Totally agree that Tullymore should be #1 on your list if your have time. Rated #14 by golf digest of America's public courses to play.

St. Ives is always in pristine shape and is probably #2 on the list.

i go to school in mt pleasant. the only courses you should consider to play are Pohlcat and Bucks Run. Both amazing courses

Apple mountain is not too far and it is very nice. Bucks run is a must as well as Tullymore and St Ives. Did not like Pohlcat all that much.

Pohl Cat is a pretty good course which I have played many times. It is worth is to spend a little more money and drive down the road to Bucks Run. Tullymore is definitely number one out of the courses mentioned and is only about a 30 minute drive. Eat at Mountain Town restaurant and brewery it is good and not to much money.

I've walked Pohlcat and thought it was fine. The distances from green to next tee are generally reasonable and there are more relatively flat holes than hilly ones.

Buck's run also is a decent walking course. A few holes are oddly configured for walkers and there's generally more distance on green-to-tee routings. But I'd say it's an overall better course than Pohlcat.
