can anyone tell me the spin characteristics of this shaft

They can be high for some. I am some. I play the X in my TM SQ...non-TP ver. This driver head has been labeled by some as spinny. After playing this head and shaft combo since the SQ invention, I would agree with that assessment.

I get more spin than average in the FW ver. I spoke of above also. This characteristic is an acquired taste. For the mid to low handicap person I always suggest giving this shaft a try. It's a great piece of kit and they wont break the average guys savings.

I just re-shafted my Taylor Made 425 8.5* with a V2 76g (stiff) shaft from the stock stiff shaft.

Previously I had a low boring trajectory and now I have a much higher trajectory a little more carry, but it seems a little too high and not as controllable. Is this typical of this shaft?

Also, it appears you need to swing very smooth with this shaft and can not really go after the ball if you wanted to??? Is the stiff maybe too soft? Any recommendations???

This is a pretty robust shaft. I had used it in a 905R for about a year or so. It launches pretty high, and there didn't seem to be much spin on the ball. I've hit other shafts with this particular head, and this was a nice combination. The only issue I ever had with it was on windy days. If I had a strong crosswind, this thing tended to get pushed into trouble, even on perfectly struck hits. This was more me than the shaft though as at the time my swing was producing a really high ball flight. I have since had an overhaul with my coach and the ball is staying down more, so I might see if I can get another one for my FT-5 and see how it feels now.

Can anyone tell me if the flex feels significantly different when fitting to a Thru-Bore Head?

I am looking to fit a V2 to a 907D2 and i am concerned that with a SS of 100-105, the Stiff version may play a little too strong.

Also, does anyone have any experience with the lighter versions. I am not sure whether i should go for a 55g shaft (i currently have standard 50g in 07 Burner which feels ok), or should i go up to the 65g.

Playing style is Average Tempo, Average Aggresion and i'd like the shaft to play towards the higher side of mid launch.

Cheers

Hello all, I have a question I think someone can answer for me. I curently use a ptoforce 65 x flex in my driver. 10* SMT Nemisis. I hit it well, but low. Will this shaft help me hit the ball higher, or should I look at the high launch. The high launch torq is higher, I don't want to hit it higher and all over the place. What do you think?

I am thinking of putting the V2 76 gram Stiff in my Nike SQ2 15* 3 wood, any suggestions on it? I have recently switched my driver shaft, in an Adams 9015d to the UST axivcore Red stiff and like it a lot. My ss w/driver is 103-108, swinger and not hitter.

Hi

I'm looking for a Titleist 905R but dont know what shaft to get what are the differences between the Proforce 75 and the Proforce 65(the purple and yellow model shaft) http://www.golf-components.com/profor65wood.html

I've hit the 907 D2 with the heavier shaft and it goes really well for me, but talking to a pro at the proam event he said that the 905R head is much better then there newer offerings.

If anyone could help me out, I would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help.

On paper the purple 65 shaft is only 5grams lighter then the 75 shaft, is there any pros and cons of having a lighter or heavier shaft?

Thanks in advance

Matthew

I put a 66 gram regular flex shaft into by 2007 Burner head and I really like the results. I was a bit concerned going from a stock stiff shaft back to a regular but I am glad that I did. The low torque really makes this feel very stout for a R flex, but I can still feel the shaft load, and I don't feel like I have to swing out of my shoes.

I am able to swing a lot harder with this shaft than I was with the stock shaft. As long as I keep my head down and stay in the shot I get a nice boring trajectory. Overall I great shaft for the money, particularly considering that I got it as a pull for $20 on e-bay. 1000% better than the stock Burner shaft which was way to whippy.

Will take an act of God to make me switch off of this shaft any time in the forseeable future.

I have the 76g stiff in a 905R and 907D2 - I really like both. A lot of people did not like the 907 heads - I think it is a rocket. Mine appears to sit a little more square than my 905. Love these shafts - they are not the "smoothest" but I like the feel. For the cost these are some the best out there. I have yet to find a shaft with as tight a dispersion pattern as the V2. Rock solid.

I had a ProLaunch Blue in a R7 SuperQuad non-tp(bought used.. I didn't put that shaft in!) and found I was hitting the ball wayyy too high with a ton of spin. I then went hunting for a new shaft, and after many online tests the UST Proforce V2 came out on top. I had a V2 Stiff 66g installed. Haven't used it on the course, but hit it on the driving range. I did notice a difference in the trajectory and roll. Can't wait to use it on the course!

UST has outdone themselves on this shaft!

^^ It cost me $100 US (Shaft- $70, Labor- $20, Mulit Decade grip- $ 8.50) at Roger Dunn. I don't know the difference between US and NZ money, but I'm sure you could figure it out.

Have this in X flex in my TEE XCG fairway wood and it's perfect. The only thing that is even in the same league is the TEE V 3 wood with a Voodoo (actually, that one might a little better!)

Just put the Tour Hybrid 89g X in my... wait for it... hybrid and has been my go-to when I have to pull off a shot. Super stable and very workable. I haven't found anything better.

Two great shafts that are hard to beat, and if you factor cost into the equation, it's nearly impossible to beat.

Tried several shafts in search of the right one for my Nike VR Tour 9.5 driver. I believe I found it in the Proforce V2 75 in reg flex. I'm hitting the ball longer and straighter than all the other shafts i've tried.
