:drinks: Good buy! I almost got that set, but I wound up getting the Bridgestone Combos being I could get those new for the price of used 704's. But it was a close call between the two. 704's are a good size, not too much offset, and good forgiveness. I have a set of DCI 990's on the way today that I got for a song off Ebay. We'll see how they play...

Just bought the Titleist 704 cb's with DG S300's. Look to be a good combination of forgiveness and playability. Any input from some current users?

I own both the 704.cb's and the MP-60's. Both are a great set of irons (similar characteristics in trajectory, distance, and workability), but the 60's just blow away the 704's in the 'feel' department.

You'll be happy w/ your purchase either way.

I'm still playing with my 990s after 6 years. They are awesome.

:crazy2: Nice buy, my friend that i work with has the 704s and he loves them, there is only one other iron out there that he would play over them and thats the RAC TP ($1000) which is not happening to say the least. the spin on the 704cb is very nice, tough grooves, and the fact that they are forged makes them a great buy. welcome to the world of :drinks:

I was happy to find such a nice set, they're almost like new and have Rifle 6.0 shafts. My buddy has a set of them that he loves, and I've hit them before. I'm taking them to get the lie angles adjusted and lofts changed/verified today, so I hope to try them out by next weekend when I get them back. They're a good looking club. They seem to get mixed reviews for some reason? Some think they're the best ever while others hate them. I guess I don't see anything not to like about them.

This must be the 990 apreciation society here - i love them too, like mr_divots i got a set of 990b's recently on ebay also for a song.

Anyway good luck with the 704s im sure the will serve you well.

The 990s were the first set of irons I ever bought, six years ago (after multiple hand-me downs)

Last season I had the great idea of buying a more forgiving set despite loving my 990s look and feel (even though cast)

So I got the 704s for a graduation gift. I think they are the best combination of forgiveness and playability and I love the head shap but I cannot deal with the finish and those stupid looking feel pockets. I know they are in the cavity and you cannot see them but I seriously do not know what Titleist was thinking. I wish I waited six more months so I could have gotten the Bridgestone Cavity Backs. But I am still planning on using my 704s (they are in battle with a cheap used set of 300s i picked up over the summer) and refinishing my 990s and then giving them a second go. Those are the three sets of irons I have ever bought and I cannot see another set of irons outing my 990s or 300s any time soon.

Sorry for the rambling for those who actually read the above,

Josh
