Nice, I was lucky enough to get 4 tickets this year for the Wednesday practice round and the Par 3 Contest. I can't wait! It should be a great tournament-especially with Tiger expected to make his 2009 start there.

Going to Monday practice round again. Last year was my 1st trip, it was great.

I'm very fortunate that all of my family has lived there, until my generation that is. But I have been hooked ever since my dad started me going, and I think this will be my 21st year (i'm 28). I just can't miss it. whatever else I have going on, I make it for at least one day. I always tell people that if anyone calls them friday night and says "i have tickets to the masters for the weekend, wanna go?", unless you're going to get divorced for going, or miss the birth of a child, just go buy the plane ticket. The cameras don't even come close to doing the place justice.

I have been to 2 Masters. We used to get tickets from a Member which will go unamed in this post. One year we skipped and alas no more tickets. I was also thinking the other day that I have not seen an updated Augusta National Member list since USA Today created one in 2002. I'll bet there has been some major changes.

my uncle is getting tickets for all 7 days from a client of his. The tickets include all 7 days, seats in the grand stands, and behind the ropes access.

 

It will be my first time going and probably last, so I can't wait.

Agree 100%! I live less than 1 1/2 hours from Augusta and go there all the time, I always have to drive by the Main gate on Washington Rd just to take a peek. I play guitar and there is a Guitar store at the intersection of Washington Rd and Berksman Rd and Washington Rd and the Augusta National has there "Green Fence" right accross from it,,,, very cool.

My father is going to this year with his buddy and his son.. being the bastxxx son I am I was not invited :(. So if you see a small italian gentleman about 5'4" remind him to buy his son back in NJ a hat and shirt... oh yeah, I want one of those shirts that say

"My father went to Mecka and all I got was this lousy golfshirt" :)

 

Seriuosly, I only hope to go one day, and I hope he and his friends have a great time... I wait all year just to watch it on tv. :)

The cheapest way is to get in on the lottery. That is how I got mine this year...4 for something around $32 a ticket. That is probably the easiest too...that or scalping at the gate.

For practice badges ... best way is to hang out by the grounds. At noonish or 1ish many patrons will be leaving and will sell their badge for little or nothing ... $25 or $50

 

For actual rounds ... good luck LOL. Get them in advance from a broker ... wait awhile, the price will go down. I got mine, a Saturday day badge, a week prior for $700 it... was worth it , well worth it

 

You need to go just once ... I will return someday with my boys but until then I'm satisfied with my 1 and only trip

Cheapest way to get tix to this year's practice rounds is to just show up and buy just before entering the gate. You'll encounter a ton of scalpers, but I always see a patron or two with an extra ticket at a very reasonable price. I'd just get there and hang around just outside the parking area where people are crossing the street to the gate and politely but persistently ask everyone if they have an extra.

 

If money is no object, as someone above said, you can easily order on eBay from ticket brokers for any day and time you want to go.

I'll be going to the Tuesday practice round. This will be my first time, anybody have any suggestions or tips for what the best way to experience everything is? What should I expect? I can hardly wait!

Just wasn't sure if he practices tuesday/wed normally or comes in on monday. Last year, I don't think he did a practice round on wed. Want to make sure I hit him on a day that he's on the course.

Since our company hosts customer appreciation week for Masters, I get to go every year.

I will have 4 bages this year.

 

We rent the house in West Lake and play golf in Westlake too.

 

I am taking my lesson pro this year since he wants to go there
