Became a TM ho and didnt even realize it

Has this happened to anyone else?

My recent addiction to club ho'ing I just realized I switched my driver983k to r5, irons 690cb's to 300 forged and 3 wood 980f to v steel from titleist to tm. Im sure this has happened to others lets hear the stories. Also Im going from a 983k with prolite stiff to a r5 with a 757 stiff what kind of difference in flight should I expect when all the snow melts?

My new r7 tp is being shipped right now to replace my 983, and I am planning a rescue dual 14* to replace my 3 wood. It occurs to me that less than a year ago I had an all Titleist bag.

You know, come to think of it, I just realized I have a set of R7 XDs in the closet with a Rescue Dual 4. I'm surprised my Cleveland's and Mizuno's have not burst into flame. I'm even drooling over the R7 460. Make it stop!

happened to me also.......after my irons selection , i went and demoed all fw, drivers, etc, and opted out for the r5, 3 and 5 fw, and a rossa monza corza putter............

 

but wedges are a different story........goint with the mizzy mpt series!

I am a true TM hoe and somewhat proud of it.

 

I may be switching to all Titleist equipment......much better quality from what I've seen, played, and felt.

I recently obtained a bag almost entirely dominated by TaylorMade equipment. It started with my trip to Golf Galaxy, last Sunday, when I went in there for a second fitting, with my recent purchase of G5 irons. I got them for X-Mas and was not properly fitted. They told me to come in and they'd fit me and if I didn't like them after, I could get a new set free of charge. After the fitting, which was a disaster, I tried the OS2 and just knew these were it. So I swapped. I had a 4 & 7 wood V-steel prior to the OS2's and had a r540 XD. In addition to my OS2 swap, I had $150 credit, so I bought a Titleist 56* 200 series. I then traded my Launcher 3 wood and Voodoo Daddy for a Monza Corza center shaft 34" putter. I also added an after market shaft (V2) and a grip to my r540 XD. I walked out of Golf Galaxy spending a total of $75. At this point I am TaylorMade except for my wedges. So justifiably speaking, you could call me a TaylorMade ho, with a G5 driver, but truthfully when the price is right I will buy the r5 (changable weight driver) or the r7 460. I think I have a little value left in r540 XD and I know I have a value in my G5. I think I might actually do it this week.

I did the same thing and completed the transition this year. Traded my old 975D in for an R580. Got rid of my Tiltleist 990's for a set of original RAC LT's. I just recently replace my 3 year old Titleist Vokey Raw wedges for TM RAC black. Also replaced an older Launcher 4-wood with 2 new V-steels. I still have a Titleist bag and Scotty putter. Won't ever replace the Scotty with a TM putter. Just can't get past the looks or feel of them. I would switch back to Titleist easy, if I had the $$$. Love the looks of the new 695CB's.

The same thing happened to me in the fall. I already had a Rescue Mid in the bag with a set of 690.cbs and a 983k. Then I picked up a RAC CB/MB Tour set and an R5. Then earlier in the winter I got a pair of RAC TP wedges and recently got a great deal on a set of RAC 2005 TP irons.

 

I'm still playing a Red X2 but I'm seriously considering a Rossa AGSI putter. The one thing in my bag that is unlikely to change to TM is my 3-wood. I really like Callaway FW woods (I have a Steelhead III) and I'm either going to reshaft it or pick up a new X Tour 3+.

HEHEHEHHEHEHEH I just dont know what to do with out them i started with Hogan irons, cleveland wedges, RAy cook putter, titleist woods. Now look at my sig all TM, no let up in sight either!

I was headed down the path of being a TM ho, but that changed. I did notice at one point last year, I was playing Cleveland products all the way through the bag. I can understand how it happens.

Made the same driver switch. I had a lower ball flight, and was much straighter. Distance was about the same, maybe 2-3 yards longer with the R5.

I've played TM irons for a long time, back to the Burner Tours, but I hit Mizuno woods and was a Titleist wedge/putter guy. Then, a few years back I switched from my old 300S driver to a 580, and slowly but surely TM stuff has spread throughout my bag. Now I'm exclusively TM save for my old Vokey 48 and 52, which I'll keep till the grooves are gone. I used to have a Scotty Newport and JAT, but I've sinced replaced them with a Rossa Maranello and Daytona. Guess that makes me a TM ho, too.
