What shafts worked in a Adams A4

Ok, I ordered a 10.5 Adams A4, Stiff Shaft. I had Adams tip the shaft 1/2 inch. Club is 45.5. The problem is I hit it way too high and it spins like a top. Into the wind it just falls out of the sky. My SS is only around 102-105 but I do load the shaft pretty good. I do like shafts in 60-70 gram weight.

You experts have any idea's for a reshaft. I am afraid I need a 9.5. My old driver has a BB 63X that is fully inserted. It feels perfect for me and I hit it good.

Thanks

I would suggest possibly going up in flex (I have a stock X flex pull if you're interested PM me), or reshafting completely. Going up in flex will definitely cut the spin and launch a bit, and your SS, especially if your tempo is quick, is right on the border b/w S and X. I thought the stock shaft was a little soft to flex anyway. I put a Fubuki in mine, which increased my launch angle a bit and brought the spin down as well. What are your #'s with this thing?

The A4 is such a low spin head that I would think if you are hitting it high and with too much spin, definitely a loft issue. A BB63X won't solve the problem as the spin would be comparible to the tipped stock Ozik you already have. A Diamana Whiteboard or Ozik F7M2 may help but come with a steep price tag as you know...and still may not completely solve your issue.

Regarding your question on shafts...I have two 9.5* heads, one with a real Ozik X-Con 6 (not the made for Adams version) and one with an Accra SC75. Both launch mid/high and spin in the 2500rpm range. My SS averages 107

TM Stealth+ 5w at 18.25°, HZRDUS Black RDX 80 6.5, tipped 1”, 42.5”

I'd say you need a different loft or a swing change. The A4 with the stock shaft tipped would be about as low spin as you can get out of any retail driver without going to really expensive shafts. I have the same setup and my launch is 15-18* with about 1700-2000 RPMS of spin.

I also have a 4250 10.5 and for me the A4 goes a lot higher. I have not been on a mointor with either the A4 or 4250 but I bet Im launching the A4 around 14-16 which is fine but it feels like it is spinning around 3000-3200. No run out at all. I would love spin to be 1800-2000.

I think I need a 9.5 A4, however to me the 4250 feels more solid. I think I'll try to sell the A4 and reshaft the 4250. It had a Code 6 stiff , tipped 1/2 at 44. That shaft is too short and too weak for me.

What do you all think about a Voodoo XVS6 ?

Thanks

Sorry, for asking a question that does not help the person who brought up the question, I currently play a Adams A4 tech 9.5 with a the stiff stock Ozik shaft. In your opinion would switching to a Fubuki 73 stiff bring up the launch angle to much? I noticed that you said the Fubuki brought up the launch angle a bit, so I am assuming the launch angle increase was not significant, but was the increase in height in comparison to the stock Ozik shaft? Can you elaborate on the overall height and roll out with the Fubuki? I love this club and I am looking to buy a backup with the same loft and put a Fubuki in the club. I guess, I am just needing reasurrance from a person with first hand experience. Thank you for your time.
