question about torque

aldila shafts

hi everybody..

i have my driver with aldila nv 65 stiff shaft wich has 3.5 of torque

and my 3 wood with aldila nv 85 stiff shaft wich has 2.6 of torque

my driver is 7º and the wood is 12º

most of my drivers go with a fade and the 3 wood goes straight, when i hit good my driver and goes straight goes for about 300-320, when not (fade) about 280.

does the torque has any influence on the shots or is it the loft that is killing me?

its not the torque. you hitting a NV65 S 300 to 320? theres your problem. you would probably benefit from heavier shaft and stronger flex

you definitely want a stiffer flex. the NV X, 65 or 75g would be great. also, the G2 head itself spins alot...

Go to the VS Proto. I spent too much wasted time with an NV. They have an upper limit for swing speed beyond which they only turn right-checked with other swingers and radar too. These were 75x. It might have just been the two shafts -pulls- I tried but when I went to a ProtoPype the trouble went away. The Pype broke and I have a VS Proto 70x in it now and it's completely manageable.

looking in ebay i found an aldila nv95 x-stiff? would this be better?

how does the weigth comes into play? i guess that slows the swing a bit, but is it that much differernce?

how about the diff. between nv 95 and nv 85?

i'm kind of new to all this, ( a little background) i left golfing for 8 years, and the last kit it was my first, it was a dulop irons and a big bertha warbird driver, the irons i got them in 85, lol. play them all the way tru college. the driver was newer.

the 95 is bit much, but its some thing you really need to feel out for yourself, its not a guessing game

The shaft is too soft for you. with that kind of power, you should be in an extra stiff flex.

Youre asking whats killing you, I dont understand. Those numbers are very good.

when i hittit good i get that far, but formost of the shots tothe left and fading.

my golf pro (not really golfpro but he is prettygood and is the one that fixes the clubs) tells me that i should stick with the stiff and probably a 75 grm shaft and ease up with my tempo. he tells me that in most drivers you need a lighter shaft because of the head weight, but thah also reduces the torque.he tells me that the head at impact stays a bit behind, he feals that with a heavier shaft the head will not be behind.

FYI i have a broken arm and a broken wrist, with a plate in the wrist and a screw on the arm,the armd oesnt bother me,but i have limited movement in the wrist, if i put up and straigth my arm, the wrist does goes up about 40 % and to the left the same. but i dont feel that this interfeers with the swing.

Aldila tourqe is higher than stated anyway from what ive been told... You would probably want something lower tourqe with a slightly weaker flex profile... something like an Accra SE80*...

What exactly is your thought process behind the Se80*??
