Titleist Premium stand bag

For those of you that has this bag whats your likes and dislikes? What color do you have? I think the black/spice color would go good with my Ping G-10's but the black,or red/black looks good also I just cant make up my mind on a new stand bag for this year :russian_roulette: I also like the Ping Hoofer Vantage bag also :rolleyes:

i searched and searched. I went with the Nike tour sasquatch. i also bought a hoofer vantgage (so overratted)

 

The titleist premium stand bag was a close 2nd and It still has my eye

I think my Nike Pro combo Tour stand bag is the same as the Sasquatch bag but a year older I like it but wanna try something else

I have the Titleist Premium bag and it's okay. It does offer a decent amount of storage although I do not like how small the cooler pocket is, barely holds a 16 ounce Gatorade or bottle of water. Valuables pocket is nice and roomy as is the ball pocket. The dividers are okay, for what this bag costs though they should have done a full divider down the center of the bag, clubs tend to get caught with each other pretty easily which is annoying. I also think they should have done the legs like Ping or Nike does theirs, slightly bent and wider at that top, my bag tends to blow over quite a bit if its windy outside.

 

I have looked at the Hoofer Vantage a lot lately and like the overall looks but cannot get down with the cheap looking and feeling velour top they use.

 

I am currently looking at a Nike Pro Combo or Sasquatch Tour bag as I have read great things and I like the 14 club divider system they employ and their leg mechanism looks like it would not interfere with cart use. My titleist bag has to ride sideways which makes it hard to get to certain pockets while playing, just annoying.

I have the Titleist Premium bag. Great for walking and on the range. Not so great for riding in a cart or traveling. It does not fit on any of the riding carts I have used, you have to turn it sideways to get it on and strapped in. Also I had to smash it get it to fit into my SKB hard case for traveling. The culprit in both cases is the wide bottom in combination with the device that extends the stand legs. Makes it a very difficult fit into carts. Maybe I should walk more.........

BTW bought the Titleist Light weight Cart bag for those days I ride and for travel, as well. Much better bag for those instances.

I just received my black/red color bag today I really like it so far I hope to use it tomorrow if the weather cooperates (chance of snow)

I used my bag on the course for the first time and had no complaints with it clubs came out and went back in with no problems I really like the putter well also. The days I decided to ride in a cart I'll have to bring my cart bag I dont think the Titleist Premium bag will fit on the cart with the HUGE stand mechanism thats the only thing I find wrong with it

I have the all black one and I think it looks great with my 909 headcovers.

 

Great bag for walking but I have yet to find a cart this bag will fit on without turning it sideways. It absolutely sucks as a cart bag, period!

Well 5 rounds in Florida and 2 this weekend (Cart in Fl, Walking here) and I must say this is a fantastic Bag. Maybe the best I've ever used.

 

Clubs in and out no problem - Super light, comfortable straps, looks amazing in all black.

 

Looks like I'm keeping this bag around for 2009.

 

Smitty, you mentioned the putter well - Are you using the Top bag (The only single one) as the putter well?

 

Mine is Set up like this looking at the top:

Works for me but I might try the putter at the top. My putter headcover (Ping Redwood) is so big and uncomfortable in the top well.

Nice Bag! I like the red. I have the same putter as you (eats SC for lunch) but the headcover is massive. Too big for the top slot because it always gets in the way when I grab the top handle.

I used to have an older version of Titleist's top end stand bag, but since then I've played nothing Ogio.

 

Without a doubt the best walking bag out there. The engineering and durability are over the top. Give them a shot; I promise you won't be disappointed.

Im really interested in this bag or the light weight version. Is it that much heavier that it could tiring to have to carry. I had an ogio nexos i realized how heavy it was after using an older ping one day.

 

I really like the looks of the premium. It looks to be the perfect bag for me. Interested to hear what people think about it after using it for a while.

Any ideas why in the heck Sun Mountain/Titleist won't fix the issue with their stand mechanism preventing their bags from fitting in carts?

 

My perfect bag would be as follows, cart bag size with 14 way divider and a stand. Someone PLEASE make one and I'll buy it!

My Perfect bag is this one with 14 dividers but 1 larger section for the putter (Todays putter headcovers are just huge). This section should be elevated from the top so the putter sticks up a bit. I just turn my bag sideways, I don't see what the big deal is and why people complain.

This bag is not perfect but it's the best one out now.
I've had this, sun mountain 4.5, nike tour sasquatch, hoofer, sun mountain 3.5, various taylor made bags, ......

This is the best.

Hey Rob, it is a tiny bit heavier than the ligher ones and you do notice a tiny bit of diff especially after 18 holes. But this bag is awesome. It's by far the best looking bag. The top is borderline perfect, great storage, perfect handle on the top so easy to take off the back, it's just great.

Thanks for the answer kgeorge. If i can walk witht the ogio i had i guess the premium should be no biggie. I really like the top of the premium compared to the lightweight. Now I just have to find the black and green colors. cant seem to find those on any of the online stores.

kgeorge, I thought you were using the Nike these days? You using the Titty now? The reason it's a big deal (for me at least) is that when I have to turn it sideways in the cart it eliminates one whole side of the pockets on the bag. I agree about the one larger slot for the putter by the way.

Na I have a tour sasquatch but It's a bit too heavy and it's missing the handle on top where the 4.5 / Titlesit has (makes it easy to take off your back).

When carting it, I put the stands towards the center of the cart so that I use the main pockets (balls and tees) and have the large pocket facing the front of the cart which I never use).

Oh well, the best of the bunch.

That's the lightweight stand bag (the Sun mountain 3.5) not the premium. I have that bag as well! Very nice but not as nice as the premium but the 1.5 lb does make a diff. I use my canada bag for walking.
