Which spins more off the tee? and Which is better all around?

One Tour or Srixon Z Star

So after a launch monitor fitting, I launch the ball 14 degrees and spin it around the 2000 rpm mark (with a hx tour ball).

This is after I made some swing changes.

So before, I always played a super low spin ball to counteract my high spin, but since I've fixed this, I'm looking to play a high spin ball.

I'm looking between the Nike One Tour and Srixon Z Star.

Any opinions are appreciated.

Up to now I played the TP Red LDP, but I feel like I don't need the lower spin properties anymore, and that I would love a high spinning soft feeling ball for the short game.

If your looking for the softest feeling ball then you will love the Srixon Z Star. If you want mad spin and great greenside control with a slightly firmer feel than the Z Star you will love the Nike One Tour. I have played through a dozen of each and for me I can handle the slightly firmer feel of the One Tour because of the amount of spin it puts out. The feel of the Z Star can not be beat by another ball on the market. It is soft with just the right amount of firmness off all the clubs and especially the putter. The kicker for me was the greenside spin. If you are not used to playing a high spin ball I would suggest the Srixon Z Star. Don't get me wrong the Z Star checks nicely around the green but I love having the ability to suck balls back if needed. I would rather take off spin than wish I had more. Not saying the Srixon Z Star does not spin, it does, just not as much as the One Tour. Both balls are about the same distance but I feel the Srixon is slightly lower spinning off the driver. If you drive the ball straight this will not matter. The durability is better on the Z Star. I can get 18 holes out of 1, One Tour but it is toasted. The Srixon seems to scuff but not tear as the One Tour can get groove slices in the cover. I am probably one of the few who don't care about durability as I am paying top dollar for a ball to have certain charastics. The One Tour has what my game is built around and that is why I choose to use it. Grab a sleeve of both and see what you like. Just re-read your post. If you like the feel of the TP Red the Nike One Tour is softer than that and would be a good place to start. if after playing that you want something softer with a touch less spin then the Z Star would be the next choice.

All joking aside, thank you very much for the reply, I'm going to go with your advice and try the nike one tour first. I've played the z star and liked it but like you said, not monster amounts of spin that gets associated with soft feel.

 

Funny thing though, I saw another thread of some ball test and it said that the tp red is actually a high spinning ball off the tee. Surprising to say the least, but interesting....

The One Tour is a long golf ball, but it is also the spinniest ball I have ever hit. I am trying out the One Tour D for a few weeks because I can not control the One Tour right now.
