GOLF LOGIX ROTTEN CUSTOMER SERVICE

DO NOT ORDER THE GOLFLOGIX GPS 8... ESPECIALLY ON THE 30 DAY FREE TRIAL!!!!!!!
I did, what a mistake. First off, I figured Garmin, AWESOME! I used them alot in Afghanistan. Wouldn't be without it. Glad I didn't have to rely on this POS over there.
Anyway,I had the same trouble loading & registering it that others seemed to have. Batteries and ... what kinda cable is that anyway? Got the complimentary course download. Seemed ok. Went to use it on the course and other than the initial screen for each hole that tells you what hole you where on, it's pretty confusing figuring out which hazards went to which hole when they where side by side or in close range. They aren't marked by hole.
I did like the shot measuring feature but it wasn't worth 300 bucks!
I called golf logix to get the required return code to send it back about 10 days from when I thought the 30 days was up. I got the # and asked them specifically when I had to have it back to them to not have a charge on my card. I was told as long as it was postmarked within the next 4 days (28 june in this case) I would not be charged. This was on June 23rd. June 26... $299.95 charge on my account. Tried to call. They close early and aren't open weekends. I called the next buisiness day to be told that the 30 trail starts when you order it, that it needed to be back to them on 27 June to not be charged. Wait a minute, you charged me on the 26th.
They went on to tell me too bad, so sad they'll refund it eventally after they get the gps back. Oh, did I mention that this was paid for on my debit card and when I was told that I would be charged I used the funds elsewhere? Dumb, I know. So now I'm overdrawn 150 bucks plus untold numbers of overdraft fees for piddly stuff I paid for with my card. They told me that they can't be held responsible for my poor financial planning ( a manager or supervisor named Robert) Correct me if I'm wrong, but if someone tells you that your card won't be charged and then charge it anyway, isn't that their fault? The guy commences to yell at me for not knowing that all 30 day trials run the same way and for being so irresponsible, blah, blah, blah.

I've never really been into these fedback forum things before but this was a giant kick in the balls. I followed their instructions to the letter ( the little instruction sheet that came with the gizmo also said call within 30 days of arrival to get the code in order not to be charged) and got hosed.
I intend to find any feedback forum, blog, comment page , billboard and telephone pole I can and let everyone know what HORRIBLE, LAME customer service these guys have. If they had told me when I called that I would still be charged if it wasn't in there hands by xx date, I would have overnighted the thing. I asked them point blank and was lied to and then treated like a 'tard for trusing them.

I would strongly recommend that you contact The Better Business Bureau in the state that Golf Logix is located and file a complaint. You probably can do this on the internet.

You can file a dispute with your bank. If you win, you can have the funds AND FEES reversed. It is pretty easy to do as I ahve been in a similar situation. Takes a few weeks, but worth it in the end.
