I am Japanese, and that "father" character just cracks me up :cheesy:

The clubs may be made in Japan, but is definitely not a Japanese owned company.

Reminds me of a guy I met the other day that had "bathroom" tattooed on his arm LOL
Im Swedish the japanese brands with names like Seven hill bla bla, and Sky dream jump (!? WTF?) and so on really cracks ME up! Pls dont make fun of a name when your domestic makers have names that sounds like some really bad auto-translation, or something that a child would come up with..
Examples from my favourite JDM website: Como! Come! Ehhh, ok... "Dance with Dragon"..Ok, THAT is just a ridiculous name, much much much more so than "Father" could ever be..Lets see what we have next: JpnG...Why not Hrrrmphh? Or grhtth? Ah, then we have the venerable "Golds Factory"..Is the owners surname Gold by any chance? No? So that was pretty stupid too then..Then when I went out and bought the newest Kasco balls, the 4-piece premium Kira, it is written "Distant & Spin" on the cover..Hmm, exactly WHAT is distant? Can they by any chance mean DISTANCE? Yo get it?
I am a big fan of JDM stuff, but NAME WISE their stuff wants to make me puke..

Whats next? "Mountain elixir obtaining phoneix sauce" - wedges?

Looking at the photos in the OP I can't help but see some heavy similarities to Scratch heads. Is this the same company Scratch is having make their heads in Japan?
GeoTech is a Japanese based component company that is owned fully by one of the largest of the clubhead investment casting factories in the world named Dynamic Precision Casting Corp. Dynamic is also the oldest of all the Asian based clubhead production companies, having started in 1972, and is presently ranked either 4th or 5th largest in the world in their production output - around 4 million heads produced for many different golf companies all around the world. From 1981 to 1989, Dynamic owned 50% of Dynacraft Golf Products Inc - the company I served as president of from 86 to 93 that recently folded and was bought out by Hireko. It was during this time I was with Dynacraft that the owner of Dynamic saw potential for starting a component company in Japan, and thus founded GeoTech. At present, I believe GeoTech is the largest of the few Japanese component companies. Dynamic designs and makes most of their clubhead models, so the quality of the head models that GeoTech offers is very good. FYI, Dynamic is one of the largest suppliers of heads to Taylor Made, Wilson and several other OEMs in the US so they know their craft and have been very successful in the field for a long time.

Found this on another board. I used to want some geotechs till i found out about how they are made and stuff a while back

I bought a set 2 months ago in Satin Finish with KBS C-Tapers S+ and 2 wedges with DG spinners

Love the heads, hate the shafts... thinking of either reshafting or selling.

But to answer your question, these are legit, very soft feel, amazing contact (jaw dropping soft)... in fact my first hit I thought I missed the ball until I looked up and saw it flying.

I would also like to know the story about this.

It had nothing to do with this thread or Hakusa. Chamrick53 and jphilbeck is the same guy and was banned because he ripped off another member on the BST.

I bought a 60*, it was $20. Bent it to 58*, works better now for me.
$20 for a decent forging. Pitches and sand only. I mostly chip when possible.
Didn't have a clue what the little red moniker was about - I actually thought it more Chinese/Soviet with the hammer and all...but it had a kbs black shaft, which is very nice for $20. It looks kinda silly actually with that moniker, but that was an appeal.... chichi/daddy? too funny.
Crisp feel to it, traditional SW sort of bounce.

Man, what an old thread.

yeah

I am curious also. There is just not enough solid information about Hakusa and their background online. I think their clubs look great but the symbol and what they claim on their website have me worried.

See above. Had nothing to do with Hakusa, just a shady member. I have picked up a set of xblades since my last post I this thread, and they are very nice.

Thanks Glen for the input. Xblades are great looking clubs and they seem to perform according to the members here.

Incredible that a company like this still exists and has not been shunned by the entire industry.
I'm really confused. I thought a consensus had been reached that they were a premium forging. I realise that Hakusa isn't a Japanese company but if the forgings are done there then why the hate?

In my golf bag at the moment I have a set of cavity back hakusa irons 3 to p with a 56 /60 wedge also a hakusa putter with a gold type finish
I love the quality and feel which these clubs deliver
The amount of questions I'm asked is unbelievable
People want to hit shots with them
When they do, everyone one loves the feel and looks of these classic looking irons
The putter is a joy to putt with
Very easy to align yourself with this putter
The finish on putter is brillant with a deep milling on the face
I have owned a lot of sets of irons over the years
Miura tournament blades titliest 660 ping anser irons etc
Scotty Cameron putters etc
Hakusa golf produces beautiful clubs
Maybe they are not for everybody but for a discerning golfer worth every penny

The irons feel great, right up there with Miura and have received some tremendous reviews in Europe.
Never heard / read any of those reviews. Are you sure your first post on this forum, raving about Hakusa doesn't have anything to do with this: Ebay ID:tour-standard-golf ?

There is no word hakusa in Japanese.

The kanji on the club means father, but it sure as hell is not pronounced hakusa.

Miura uses a spin welding technique to meld the hosel with the head, but one piece forging of a clubhead & hosel is as old as golf.

This "review" is nonsense and marketing hype. I'll bet it's an advertisement and not a "review."

Added: Maybe the brand should be called "Astroturf Golf."

i don’t need no stinkin’ shift key
