Mizuno MP Series or MP T Series?

For all Mizuno lovers, what wedge do you prefer? The Mp Series or the MP T Series wedges. I play with one of each. I like the way the MP T Series Raw Haze sets up in the 53-08 and the MP Series in the 60-06 Raw Black Ox. Any input?

I own a 51 degree MP T Chrome and love it, especially chipping and hitting pitch shots. Its super solid and looks tour all the way.

Really? I love my MPT Black Nickel after application of Dyno 'bone grind' but the feel is not nearly as good as my Vokey raws. I hit the Miz alot better so no big deal.

I just sold my spin milled vokeys and replaced them with MP T chrome they feel great!!

I picked up a MP T Raw Haze 53* and 58* wedge for this season and judging by the initial feedback it will be a great year. Feel, look and performance is perfect. Shafted them with stiff NS PRO 950's.

I like the MP T Series better because the toe isn't as big and rounded as the MP series.

 

And yes they feel great gave up my long time Vokey's to hit these and love them. Have since put in Rifle Spinner shafts and the feel is even better.............

Good Question! I think they're all excellent. Soft feeling, and you can't go wrong with anyone you choose from Mizuno.

Not to hijack the thread, but how would you compare the feel of these to say the CG10 Black Pearl?

I really like the MP T series black nickels... The face is just a little bit larger than the Raw Black Ox MP series I had. The feel is great too... I compared the Black Ni's with the MP T Raw, the MP Black Ox, and the Callaway Forged + wedges, and the Black Ni's were just fantastic. All the Mizuno wedges easily felt better than the Cally's. Especially in regards to the 58* wedge... I don't like the Cally leading edge at all.

I love my new MPT BN's, great spin, feel and no glare. Prior to purchase I spoke with a fellow who works in the Mizuno custom dept. and he told me the only real difference between the MP and MPT series was the shape and that there shouldn't be any performance difference so choice between the two should be based on aesthetic taste. He also pointed out that there were some minor loft differences which could be a factor if the purchaser is buying off the shelf instead of having one custom built. I demo'ed an MPT chrome and I thought the chrome was a little softer than the BN, the BN doesn't feel much different to me than a Vokey 200 Tour Chrome model that I tried, but both feel softer than the 588 Gunmetals I owned previously.

... i've never hit a cast vokey (and i've hit many of them) that anywhere near the feel of the forged mizuno mp/mp-t's. just mo though.

... the chrome versions are noticeably softer to me too.

I carry the T Series in a 51 and the MP Series in a 58.

 

I feel like in the higher lofted wedges, the round shape is easier to open up and play a variety of shots with. The T Series I like better for full shots, which is why I play it in the stronger of my wedges.

I agree totally with you. I feel my 60-06 mp series black ox wedge is easier to flop open and my mpt series 53-08 raw haze is easier for full shots and chipping around the greens. Both very good wedges!

I prefer the original satin chrome MP Series Wedges to the "T" Series. Sounds like some folks are a bit confused and think the "T" means "Tour", when actually it is a reference to the larger "Teardrop" shape of the new wedge line. The "T" simply stands for "Teardrop", not "Tour".

 

The (smaller) shape of the original MP's fits my eye a lot better.
