Anyone have Scratch's copper finish on there clubs?

Thinking about getting this finish.

Hey whats up. Well I am thinking about maybe havin my irons and wedges refinished by Scratch. I saw a thread about a week ago on a set of irons and wedges on ebay that were done in copper. I was thinking about getting this done but I am not sure how ell it will hold up over the year. When I had my putter refinished in copper people told me to be very careful because sand on the ball could easily scratch the plating.

So I was hoping to see some pics of maybe some people Scratch irons that were done in copper. I would love to see them when they were new and after hopefully a bunch of use.

Also if you have any plated finish by Scratch I would like to see them too. I am open to any and all plated finishes. I like the antique finish the best but where I play its very, very, sandy. Its cut out in the woods so just off the fairway is deep woods and tons of sand. My guess is that 3X Black and antique would wear very fast because of the conditions I play in.

So lets see what you got and how its been holding up.

No. Just thinking of maybe switching. I like the finish but want something that looks different. I want something that does not look like the rest of the irons out there, and I think copper will fit the bill. The great thing about Scratch is you can customize them to your liking. I the smoked satin looks great, but I think I am ready for a change.

LOL, those are the same ones I saw on ebay in thread earlier this week. Actually the only ones I have seen in copper.

That guy gets a custom set of Scratch's and decides to sell them to play 100 year old equipment...something is wrong with that dude.

IMHO, i dont like the copper finish, and seriously, they have tons of other finishes, black, raw, satin etc. keep in simple

Well I just did an advanced search for "copper scratch". I knocked down the search from 56 pages to 5. On page 4 I found a pic of a heavily used copper wedge. The sole was worn away and the face from contact. Honestly there is nothing wrong w/ mine, just was thinking of changing, but decided to stay w/ what I got. After that thread I found Ari did about all the finishes. He broke down each finish and what is more durable and compared them all together. Obviously hrome plating is the strongest and holds up better than the copper. I had a feeling it would, but that just verified it.

LOL. Sometimes I get very impulsive, and just want to change things up a bit. I am glad I waited instead of jumping into something I might have regretted. The smoked satin does look great, and is only worn away on the face, and the chrome is still looking brand new. Just some of the darkness is gone on the sweet spot. Where it has worn away just looks like regular chrome. I will wait to next year until I get them refinished, and it will be in smoked satin for sure.

Can you link that thread you found about all the plating?

I personally think the antique finish looks incredible

There was no pics in the thread. It was just a poll Ari did to see what people liked the most. He basically asked what everyone's favorite finish was incase he did a run in JLM w/ a different finish. I will try and find it again.
