Crossline vs. Tour Velvet

Hi all,

Time to regrip and I'm tossed between the Lamkin Crossline and the Golf Pride Tour Velvet. Both have qualities that I like, and I know that everyone is probably split 50-50!

But if you could share your plusses & minusses I would apprecite it!

1 vote for Golf Pride. Just plain don't like the Crossline, can't really explain why. Tour Velvets just feel better to me. (edit- I don't wear a glove, fwiw)

In my opinion, Crossline's are more durable and are better in humid weather (summers in Illinois get pretty humid and my hands tend to get pretty slick). Also, Crosslines are cheaper than the Tour Velvet.

Drawback to the Crossline is the look in my opinion, as I think the Tour Velvet look way better, but based on the above, I have played Crosslines for the last 6 or so years.

what a funny post...I just picked up my clubs today after getting regripped with crossline, and I had the tour velvet...I have always used the tour velvet but it was time to try something new.

Love them both, but the Crossline generally will show wear faster than the TV. It is an appearance issue only, but it is noticeable.

Crosslines or Crossline Blacks all the way. All around better grips. Have never cared much for Golf Pride grips.

I find the Tour Velvet to be a great grip and good in the humid weather too. But I also wash and clean my clubs usually after every use. I run them under water and just rub my hands up down the grips under the water and they seem to last for along time w/ no problem.

I am not sure how much the Crossline grips are but the GP TV cost like $3 a grip too.

Matt I am not trying to say you are wrong just my opinion vs. yours thats all.

I'll vote CLs. Get the all black if you're worried about wear showing.
The last batch of TV I picked up were odd and crappy, seemed like something changed with TVs.

CL tours are excellent too.

Either way you get new grips and you win.

But I'd take the crossline tour's over both...

I never used cross lines but the tour velvet are terrible to me in wet weather or when my hands get sweaty.
