Search function

Used to be when i used the search function it would just bring up the threads, not each individual post in the thread that contained the search word. Now that it brings up each post with the search word it is much harder to find old threads.

I used to get a search bar at the top of every page, at the same level as the "Proud Partners With..." Now it comes up as the page is loading and then disappears. Any suggestions?

Which browser? If its IE, and below ver 7, then it maybe time to upgrade or try an alternate one.

having a lot of trouble find threads using the seach now. they dont come up even when i use the exact words in the title. im using safar it that matters. and now "replies to posts" doesnt even show up threads in which people replied to my posts. not really a huge deal cause i started bookmarking the threads that i want to check up on. other than that, the site is still amazing. no other complaints.

Why does the search function not show up the way it used to? It is visible while I am typing this but when I go to the Forums section it disappears. Probably user error, but have become pretty frustrated with this process and there should be a clear link on the the website for contacting on technical questions. I found this area but not sure if there will be any response and didn't see any explanation for this specific question. Thanks for the assistance.

Which search function are you referring too? The link that says "website help" wasn't clear enough? Which browser and version are you using? It needs to be greater than IE 6 or use Firefox or chrome.

The search function does need to go back to how it was. Before when you searched it would list the topics for that search, and all the posts under that topic would be inside the topic. Now for example, if I search for "matrix", it lists each post individually, so you can click on each search result, but they could all be in the same topic. I hope I explained this right, the old way was easier.

I use IE 8 by the way.

Which search box do you use? It does not happen in the header search or advanced.
