I've tried a ton of drivers. I mean I've tried them all. I mean all except the offset stuff. The 580xd is still in the bag. It is the most amazing driver I've hit. It is clearly the most accurate and plenty long.

The 580 XD TP is a very nice driver. Plenty long and plenty forgiving. I did not have much luck with it though due to the relatiely high spin. I went through about 20 8.5 and 9.5 trying to find one I liked. Finally found a prototype 9.5 that is just ridiculously good. Just picked up a 7.5 also to check out.

Currently playing a 10.5/MFS 65N combo.....This is my second go round with this stick and I'm glad I came back to it...The first one I had I could not turn over no matter how hard I tried....I went through 3 or 4 shaft combos before I went back to the 540 XD/TP.....Since I've put the Apache in it the 540 has been relegated to the bench. Just mid-high bombs all day long, and with the Apache I can finally turn the ball over when I need to...As forgiving a tour driver as you'll ever hit.....

I actually have two of these drivers. I've got a 9.5* with a Fuji Vista Pro 70 and an 8.5* with a Dynamic gold X-100. Both are tour issue with T### seriel numbes. Anyway, I used these for about a year with great success. The steel shafted 8.5* was my driver of choice most of the time. It was suprisingly long and quite accurate. My only compliant was if I heeled it the ball tended to spin a ton and go no-where. Still, it's a great driver, highly recomended.

I have an 8.5 head with an IverX shaft and I love it. Tried a few different combos and this one is sweet. Definitely one of my favorite heads. Long and forgiving.

I just bought one of these in 9.5 with a Diamana Blueboard 80-S from a fellow WrX'er. Anybody have anything to say about the sound and feel? I can't wait to get mine!!!!!!

The R580XD-TP is a very nice driver and definitely one of my favorites. Actually, you can't go wrong with any of the drivers shown below. Just pick your favorite size, or better yet, get them all if you can find them. All are great Player's heads.

tried a couple of these as well and they just didnt click.....until i picked up a 9.5* w/diamana 83 stiff blueboard......WOW

 

very nice feel and tight dispersion. head feels so solid and strong. ball just jumps off the face when kissed perfectly. mishits aren't bad at all either.

 

solid club that is not leaving my bag until it breaks.

Like Golfchicago, I've owned / played / tried just about everything out there and the 580xd tp is still #1. Combination of length, accuracy, forgiveness and sound / feel - nothing matches it.

Well, all you people who say they are your drivers of choice, why arent they in your bag? If you want to get rid of any of them, I will be glad to take one off you hands...I have trade bait!
