Golf Shops in Scottsdale

What's worth going to?

Travelling down to Scottsdale later this week and want to check out some new products. Looks like PGA Superstore, Golfsmith and Vans are the lead contenders with a possible trip down to Golf Galaxy in Chandler, but anywhere else worth going?

Especially interested in places with a good stock of Scotty Camerons as man my putting killing me :russian_roulette:

Save yourself the drive and just hit PGA SS, vans, golfsmith in that order, really after you leave PGA you will prob be dissapointed in the others.

Not really much of a shop but if you want to get fit for a putter, head up to Cool Clubs in north scottsdale. the have some cool stuff in there including a bunch of james patricks work which is unreal to see in person. (if you havent seen some of his threads on here, he does fantastic refinishing work.)

COOL CLUBS for sure...pay the money for the fitting and they have a large selection of Camerons...as well as others

Hornaceks is decent...I would go there before driving all the way to Chandler while on vacation....

I agree on the pass on Golf Galaxy. They have nothing the other stores do not have, and absolutely no used inventory anymore. I would add Arizona Golf Works to the list off the 101 and University. A great local store that has lots of clubs on consignment and plenty of new stock as well. I use them for all my club work, and Todd and Bryce are just the best in the business. Check them out for sure.

Just wanted to give another endorsement to the PGA SS in Scottsdale and Arizona Golf Works. After going there Golf Galaxy would be a waste of time, and all their Scotty's are locked up. But who doesn't do that. They have some used stuff but its minimal.

Having been, I agree that PGA Superstore, Vans, Golfsmiths and Horniceks are worth a visit and did not make it to Arizona Golf Works

The Superstore is definitely an incredible golf store with a selection of equipment & apparel like no other. Just happened to be walking through when their daily putting contest was starting up and yours truly sunk 3 consecutive putts (4' 8' 12') to win a $20 store voucher.

[i]Golfsmith [/i]knocked off $50 on a Ping 3-wood for me so they're okay in my books. [i]Van's[/i] was alright and [i]Hornacek's [/i]wasn't worth the drive IMO.

Not familiar with PGA SS policies but Golfsmith has a 90 day / 90% playability guarantee. So if you buy a club and can't hit it, you can bring it back for 90% of the purchase price. Just picked up a Ping I15 3W and let me say.....it will not be going back to the store!
