Hi all,

I recently bought a TP Mills Fleetwood from Jay. The service was great, and the putter everything I could ask for except for the fact that I couldn't putt with it. The feel was great, but after so many mallets, I guess that is what I need. My fault, not the putter.

So I put it on eBay both here in Australia and in the US with a Buy It Now price just under what I paid. Within hours, a guy from Austria contacted me and offered not just more than my BIN, but more than I paid. Being the honest type, I told him he could get the same putter from TP Mills brand new for less than he was offering, but he wanted it right away.

Being the suspicious type, I also checked his eBay feedback and emailed his previous sellers, most of which were for TP Mills putters. They confirmed his bona fides, and the payment came through within minutes.

So while I am a little sad that I am such a crap putter that even somethng as sweet as a Fleetwood can't help, it is nice to know that trying one is basically risk free, even with the extra shipping to Australia.

I'm not sure that one could sell a new Cameron for more than one paid for it.

So thanks again Jay for great service, and to David Mills for a great putter.

I also have a TP Mills by David - it's my gamer because David makes a wonderful putter that feels great in the hands, on the greens and the Anser style is working.

Camerons hold their value extremely well but, I would never say that they always go up in value or you can't lose on one. Limited putters: Inspired by Sergios, Duvals, Faxon, DLIII. Their values went up and then they went down....David Toms OTR...Tiger Woods Victory putters.........JATs...Headcovers have gone up and now most have gone down from their previous selling point of $72.00. All the Flag headcovers went up and then down. Cameron Beenie bears...Down. There are alot of influences on the Cameron market, some artificial, but they hold their value better than others if bought retail. The 009s are holding their value now but, did look at 2001 Oil Can Beaches now.

I am a huge fan of TP Mills putters. I got my second one a couple weeks back after 5 joyful months with the first (mostly winter, but I've made a go of it the last few months). Sorry you had to sell yours sfdoddsy--it's got to be hard to watch a putter go away but harder still to watch your putting go away. I'm still undecided on whether you made the right decision or not. ;)

 

It's too bad that keeping it and getting a new putter was not an option. My guess is that years down the road, the Fleetwood will worth even more money and you'll spend even more than that to get it back! I could be wrong, but I've seen far too many board members spend small fortunes buying the same stuff over and over again (often times, the exact same club!). D'ah well, if golf made sense, it wouldn't be as fun.
