I'm sure they could be reshafted with graphite if it had to be done. Whoever inherits my clubs in fifty years can think about that.

how come you use those old woods anyways? just curious as your irons and wedges are top of the line in today's standards.

After I switched to metal woods my scores didn't get any better so I went back to persimmons. When I was using the metal woods I started getting sloppy on tee shots because of the size of the head, the smaller head on the persimmons makes me focus better and stay sharp, plus I really missed the sound and feel of persimmon. With modern golfballs I don't lose much distance, maybe ten yards and when you hit it on the screws there is nothing else like it.

Thanks Non, I appreciate it. I'll let you know about the MacKenzie (just got it a month ago) after April 1 when my golf course opens, we're still cleaning up from a bad winter here in New York. But so far carrying it around the house and driving range has been great, the leather is soft and thick and it just moulds itself to your back. I can see myself carrying it for the rest of my life.

Got to play a round on Sunday and the MacKenzie worked out great, very comfortable and it brought me good luck, I only lost one ball.

BTW, I am making one switch of clubs, I'm swapping out the Vokey 56.14 wedge for a Vokey 54.10 I had in the closet. The 56.14 has too much bounce for me to be using for everything from 90 yards in. I skulled a few shots with the 56.14, it had to be the club, not me!

What colour is the MacKenzie Walker bag? It looks as either Mahogny or Tan... not sure and hope you can perhaps clarify?

I am putting a custom bag together and am trying to find pictures of the different colours...
