How stiff is a project x graphite 6.0?

I really need some help with this.

So I just purchased a Project X 6.0 graphite shaft a couple weeks ago that was pulled from a nike driver. My understanding is that this shaft is stiff, but not extremely stiff. I had it installed in a Adams Speedline 8.5 driver head this past week. I have taken it out twice now to play with and a couple range sessions as well and I duck hook almost every drive with it. It had a stock stiff shaft in it before and I didn't hook it with that. I am not hooking with any of my other clubs so I am thinking that the shaft may have been installed wrong. Is it possible to install it incorrectly so that this happens?

Also, I have a 07 burner tp with a speeder 757 stiff in it. So I am not thinking that it is a problem with the shaft being too stiff or anything on those lines.

PLEASE HELP!!!

The project X 6.0 Graphite shaft is STIFF+ and probably equivilent to many X-STIFF shaft flex.

Unless its very long it length it should play considerably stifffer than a speeder 757 in Stiff flex.

It is a high kick-point stiff tip shaft, characterised by ultra low spin.

I did pretty much the same with mine, till I spinned it. Night and Day difference. I do not think that they are that stiff at all also and no where near a true X flex. The tip is stiffer then most but that is about it. It should spin less then a 757 also.

Spine it and see what that does. Mine ending up with the logo at about 1:30 after this. I started out logo down. If you need to know if it has been tipped at all, shoot me a measurement and I will compare mine.

Yep, it plays stiffer than most other shafts labeled as stiff.

a shaft, regardless of how poorly fit it is, will not cause you to hit duck hooks. sorry, but i think the issue is either your swing, or in between your ears.

It's quit possible this is a factoy shaft which plays soft to flex. It has something to do with weekend golfers and their wishful thinking!

I bet it is too stiff and you are overswinging to try and feel the kick, which is causing pulls and hooks. Slow down your swing in your head a little bit and see what happens.

it plays stiffer than my axivecore green 65 stiff. FWIW

There can be only a few causes for duck hooks. Sudden swing mechanics change, head design bias and or shaft weight, and OA length Even though PX 6.0 is stiff by comparison it's much lighter then say an OEM 757 "S"... If you're use to heavier shafts which influence tempo, going to a shaft in the 60's weight range could lead to over swinging. Don't know that it could be installed that wrong...
