Wilson Staff Ci6 irons

What do you guys think?

I was looking at these at the golf shop today, but did not have a chance to hit them. What do you guys think about them? Wilson stuff dropped down a few notches IMO, but these got a great review in Golf Magazine. To me they look great. I've always had a soft spot for Wilson, especially the Staff offerings. Has Wilson come back? Let's hear it.

Wilson is making the best equipment all around right now. I demoed and bought the new DD6 driver and love it. I went expecting to decide between Callaway, Taylor, Cleveland etc. and the Wilson beats them all. I love all their iron sets out right now. The ci6, di6 and nc6 are all awesome looking, and very fairly priced, but haven't hit them. I used to hate Wilson stuff, wouldn't even consider trying anything from them. I think they're back with a vengeance. Don't think they can compete with big name marketing and hype though.

Sorry to threadjack, but I'm thinking about the dd6 driver myself. Could you tell me all about it

and why you chose it above all the others on that pretty impressive list?

This driver was simply the best of the bunch. I hit this a bit longer and definitely straighter than any of the others I demoed, or of my current fares. The dd6 comes stock with proprietary nv65 and nvs65 shafts. I bought a 10 degree nv. The feel off the head is very solid with a somewhat typical Titanium sound, not clanky or too loud. The ball flight for me is medium high, definitely not too high. THe 8.5 was too low. My regular playing partners all insist I'm longer with this club and definitely straighter. It's hard to get much feedback on this club, or even to demo one, but if you can, try it out. THey're competively priced, I paid $350 Can. at Golftown. Ebay has some very cheap. Good luck.

The nc6 is Wilsons latest iron model, and only available in Canada. Its pretty much they're version of Taylor mades r7 cgb irons. They come with ust v2 shafts (red/grey). I haven't hit any of Wilsons new irons so I can't review. The nc6 can be seen on the Wilson japanese website.
