Fall golfers in the Boston area

Are there any Fall golfers in the Boston area? I am west of Boston and am always looking to play. I shoot high 70s - 80ish.

I'm south of Boston and play in the fall. I shoot mid/high 80s.

I play 99% of my golf at the practice facility I belong to (Harmon Golf in Rockland). But I'm willing to be adventurous. LOL

Lucky you. If I lived closer I would join Harmon in a heart beat. I play most of my rounds at Butter Brook and Cyprian Keyes. Occasional round or two at Stow Acres. There is a nine hole course near me in Natick, Sassamon Trace that I treat as a practice course due to the greens fee being a few more bucks than a large bucket and you can circle as much as you want. Hopefully a few more Boston area folks will post here and we can get something going this Fall.

I am west of Boston as well. I have played at New England Country Club, Red Tail, Maplegate, Pinehills, Shining Rock and sneak down the Cape as well. It would be great to set something up with some Boston WRXers.

Boston resident here. I work an hour west and play a wide spread of courses. Red Tail, Shaker Hills, Stow, Butter Brook and Shining Rock primarily if I get out during the week. Pinehills, South Shore Country Club and Granite Links on the weekend lately. Country Club of Halifax has a few public tee times as well.

I would definitely be in for an outing. I really want to make a trip to Newport National before the end of the year.

Played Red Tail yesterday and the course is in AWESOME shape. Played with a WRX'r and we had a blast. To quote him "the best $60.00 I have spent on golf all year!" I used Golfnow to book the teetime.

Live just north of Boston and I would be up for getting together for a round as well. I normally play as south as Pinehills and as far west as Wachusetts along with the courses closer to me. A lot of courses have aerated just after Labor day but I have played Stow recently and their greens are as good as I have seen them in years. I also played Red Tail this past Sunday and Monday and can confirm that it is in great shape. Although they have started aerating a few greens but the aeration holes are very tiny and don't require sand so the putts were still rolling nice. Would definitely be up for a weekend round or two before our season is over.

Play at Ponkapoag in Canton. Every round and course you play after it will seem at least 10x better.

I live in Northern NH and would like to try a track in Boston as well. I will not be able to do anything until after Oct 13th.

Omid I played with a guy named Bill that was a member at Ponkapoag, he said to look him up if I ever got into town. Funny thing he never gave me his last name, and when I said "so I should just go in there and ask for "Bill" and they will know?". He says yeah they'll know. I am like there has to be more than one Bill but whatever...

I just saw this thread, and I'd be up for meeting up for a round. I haven't had much time to play recently due to work and travel, but am going to try to play through the end of November this year. I live in Brookline, but am willing to drive up to an hour from here to play. I've mainly played at George Wright and Butter Brook during the summer, but also played a few rounds at Red Tail taking advantage of the Golfnow rates. I'm also thinking of going to Pinehills again when the fall rates kick in.

For those that are interested, I'm thinking the $52 1:50 golfnow tee time tomorrow at Red Tail.

Shaker Hills is now $60 any time during the week so that is another option.

Also to consider - Wayland Country Club has 7am tee times for $25. From what I know, it's a good walking course. I would be up for morning rounds there during the week this fall.

Would you like to play a morning round? See my note above about Wayland Country Club. I would play Granite but it's a bit out of the way for me during the week.

You must get to play Brookmeadow a lot. The $15 after 6pm rate is a great deal during the summer.

Since its January it looks like spring/summer is where it's at.

Jerryo, i am in wellesley too right by the CC (unfortunately i am not a member) but im always up for a round. looks like we are on par too with scores...im 78-85 on avg.
