Golf Gloves

Do a lot of you guys wear a glove when you play or practice? For some reason I feel like I'm going through gloves this year at a record pace... I'm on number 5 right now and we're maybe half way through the year. Am I just using something that isn't very durable? I've been buying the Titleist Perma-Soft's so far this season... I also went through one Titleist Player's glove. Any suggestions?

I have one glove for Practice, which is the old one. I them have one glove for play and a spare in the package. My gloves usually last one whole season, i usually play twice a week and then i practice another.

Where do you wear your glove out at?

I buy FJ gloves (play twice a week and practice 4 days a week on my lunch break) I am going through about 1 a month but my gloves don't wear out they just get hard, crusty & slippery.

I usually wear them out just below the thumb in the palm area. I think a combination of hand sweat (why I wear a glove) and humidity also reduces the tackiness.

As I have posted in the past, there is a LIFETIME WARRANTY glove by SMT. They replace it for free anytime there is a hole, becomes, slippery, dirty, etc. The turnaround time is pretty fast as well. It is VERY durable and made out of New Zealand Possum Leather. You just pay a one time fee of i believe 40 or 50 something for one glove, and then you will never have to pay for a glove for the rest of your freakin life!!!!!!!!!! I have sent my old glove back for a new one once this year with zero problems. All you do is pay for s/h...It only makes sense instead of buying 20-30 pairs a year. I have bought it up a few times on this site, but not much attn. was paid to it...maybe you guys think there is a catch but I am here to tell you there is NONE!!!

I throw my old gloves in the washing machine and wash them with regular laundry detergent. Run them through one additional rinse cycle. I then let put them on wet to reshpe them, take them off and let them air dry on a towel. I find that I get another 5 or so rounds out of each one. Obviously doesn't work on the ones with holes, but I've found it works great on the ones that are just grungy. And yes, I am cheap!

I thought I was going through FJ's & Nike kind of quick too last year. Tried the Callaway X-Spann and have found them to be noticeably more durable than the others. I have 4 pair FJ shoes & 2 Nike bags so I'm not just being a Cally homer either. those permanent things sound interesting.

you have to click on your state to see a quote...every state is different, but of course the s/h quotes are all VERY reasonable and VERY normal...it is the same s/h quote for whatever u r returing...whether it be a glove, shaft, head, etc. U R RESPONSIBLE FOR S/H TO THEM AND ALSO FROM THEM TO U....so both ways...whatever your state's quote is, u can include a check or cash...don't worry though, U WON'T BE SENDING THE GLOVES BACK THAT OFTEN!!!!!! This glove is by far the most durable glove i have ever played with.....even my pops goes through gloves like babies go through diapers, and he has only had to send his glove back once this year and he plays A LOT!!!!!!! There has been a ton of good feedback on another golf unnamed golf forum site, but not a whole lot on this site...although i have read a few good comments in the past on this site as well......GET THIS GLOVE!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheesy:

Well, since the PLayers and the Perma Soft are both top of the line gloves with the thinnest cabretta leather you can get, its no surprise you've gone through 5 gloves. Try the weather -sof by FJ or the Sci-Flex. Last a little longer.
