Thanks to our sponsor Aldila we are proud to offer 2 of the coolest prototype shafts you can get a hold of right now. These 2 shafts were pulled out of the tour operations at Aldila and will be shipped to 2 GolfWRX members in the next couple of weeks.

 

The Beta is a mid launch, higher spin version of the RIP. It is softer in the tip and slightly higher in torque than the Alpha. The RIP Alpha as you know has done tremendously well on tour. But, it is a bit too stout for the more moderate swinger, so Aldila designed the Beta. Additionally, because of the Alpha’s very low torque and stout tip, it didn’t have a whole lot of success in fairway woods – the ball simply came off too hot for most players in the fairway woods. Dustin Johnson is one of the few players that have had success with the Alpha in a fairway wood. The Beta is testing extremely well in fairway woods on tour, as well as drivers.

We randomize all the number of posts and the #1 number on the top is the winner. Say there is 1,000 replies from members. We will randomize 1 to 1,000 using a website that has a randomizer. It scrambles the numbers and the #1 is the first place and the #2 is the second etc. If the winner has duplicate entries we count the first.

I have been an Aldila fan since 2000.

I really like the BETA characteristics, which are more in line with 'regular' golfers. I think its gr8 that Aldila adds to their Tour success with a RIP for the rest of us.
