One more TGW screwup!

Has anyone else had this problem??

I just received my two new Nickent hybrids last week from TGW. Opened them up and guess what??? Two clubs and no HEADCOVERS!!!!!. This has happened two other times also, it took me 3 months to get my headcover for my new Titleist 904, which I paid $249.00. Called customer service and got the same reply, we are sorry but the manufactor sometimes sends us clubs without headcovers. So to make a long story short, they now have to place an order with Nickent to send me the headcovers. I asked TGW to just ship me a couple of the hybrid Club Glove type that they have in stock which list for $13.00 but the answer was that they were unable to do that. So now I have two new clubs with white tube socks as headcovers in the bag. Last time I will be ordering any clubs from the TGW. Wish I knew how to get in touch with some of the upper management but they will not let you talk to anyone other that the first line supervisor. Has anyone else had this problem before?

why not just return them and say that it not what you ordered...

I bet it you called Nickent they would help you out, they have a great Customer Service Department.

If you return them all they will do is give you store credit. They will not refund your money back to a credit card. I hit the clubs this weekend and really like them and they are just what I was looking for just wished I had the headcovers also.

Just called Nickent, all the customer service people are gone for the day. I will try back tomorrow and see what they have to say.

I have had wonderful experience with TGW....you can find some really good deals. I use to live in a larger city with a ton of great shops...recently moved to a smaller town and rely on TGW for a bunch of my golf stuff. Never had an issue with them......

You are probably in the minority, which is unfortunate for you since you did not get a complete order. I've purchased several clubs from TGW and never had a problem.

Yeah I have ordered thousands of dollars of equipment from TGW myself. Its just an easy internet setup they have and usually carry a good supply of left handed equipment. I'm just tired of them shipping me clubs without headcovers. This is the third time for me, if it was the first I would have not even had a second thought about it. I'm sure I will continue to order from them but I think I might start calling them instead of ordering online and letting them check out the headcover situation before I order my club the next time.

I am laughing my azz off reading the original post!! :drinks: With the free club giveaways going on with the differant companies I figured I would jump on board. I bought 2 425 TP's from TGW so I could get 4 free fairway woods...figured they would be great trade bait to get some kool stuff from other club ho's. I put $1600 on my credit card and a week later the box shows up at my door missiing one 3 wood cover, one TP magnetic cover, and one weight kit. 3 things missing, so I call them up and they tell me that there is a form that they need to fill out and it takes 48 hours to process and then my stuff would be on its way...that was on July 10th, I still have nothing!!!! I have called 4 times to try and get an update and they say " when we get them from the manafacturer we will send them to you" I say "how long does it usually take?" they say " we dont know" I say "a week... a month.. a year? any idea?" they say "nope". I ask them to take the kit and covers out of the box of a club that they have in stock and replace them when the stuff is shipped from TaylorMade.. they said "nope". I ask to speak to a manager and they wont do it, I dont know why but you can only speak to the bottom level chump. I sent them a nasty email explaining if I dont have better info than " you'll get it when we get it" that I will be calling my credit card company and disputing/cancelling the charge in the next 48 hours. I will keep people posted as to how it turns out. :fool: The funny thing is that my brother in law wanted me to get him one as well but I will be buying it from GolfSmith instead.. as due to the donkeys on TGW's customer service line I wouldnt buy a bag of tees from them!!!! :crazy: TGW suxxxx!!!!

Nickents customer service is great, they sent me a free HC for a club I bought on this site's BST with no questions asked.

 

Why don't you try discount dan's in the future?

tgw has been hot and cold with me- i got my putter , a rossa TP for $139!!!!! couldnt believe it!. then i ordered a T and was set to pay $212.46 ... never recived a shipping notice. i emailed them and they said my order was cancelled. i guess they go hot and cold.

Shook23 is right. Go with Discount Dans Golf. Great prices, great service. Bought with them the first time a couple of weeks ago, best I have ever dealt with.

Just to give you guys a follow up. Talked to Nickent customer service this morning and they were great, shipping me two new headcovers today no questions asked. They were super nice and really helpful. They also called bullxxxx on TGW, they said that they NEVER send out clubs without head covers to anybody.

So the final outcome is that TGW are a bunch of lying bastards that can't find there a-- from a hole in the ground (southern saying :drinks: ).

Just shoot them an e-mail or call their 800 #. They can order what you need. They are always prompt with a reply and a good price quote.

Just a follow up on my headcover deal guys. I received them in the mail today, Nickent got them to me in 5 workdays. I'm a Nickent fan forever now!!!! very good customer service!!!!! As for THE GOLF WAREHOUSE good bye!!!!! Too many other deserving retail companies that will take care of their customers. I sent them an email today and explained it real well to them, don't know if anyone will receive it that cares but sent it anyway.
