Please help!!

My wife and I have an opportunity to move to Tampa for my work. Problem is neither of us have ever been to Tampa. We are a younger couple (late 20s, early 30s) and are active tennis players and golfers. We would prefer a country club setting. Anyways, we are headed down in a few weeks to get a look at the area and potentially make a decision on if we will be moving or not. Not necessarily in terms of golf, where do we need to go to get a true feel for the area? What are the suburbs we should check out for potential home-buying? (Probably looking in the mid- to upper-$200s for a house.) Maybe, and perhaps most importnantly, what areas should we avoid? We are more homebodies than anything, so we don't mind an older crowd. Any info on the area would be helpful for a 3 day 2 night trip. Thanks.

it really depends on where you will be working as tampa is very spread out. with some more info i could be very helpful i will check this post tonight.if you respond i'll be able to give you very good info on the tampa area as i have been here basically my whole life

Have you came to the tampa area yet? I have lived here for about 16 years now and can provide some insight on places to live, communities as well as golf areas and tennis too...
