Phil is a strong no. 2. Better some days but not over the long haul. He makes the telecast worth watching, so we can enjoy Tiger making history before our eyes.

Pelz later said that he doesn't know Tiger's short-game like he knows Phil's, but he has "mapped" Phil's progress and statistically when he is "on" there is nobody better. We all know that stats don't mean :!: when the "game" is on, and when it's that time, I'd take my chances with Tiger coming thru over Phil every time.

when was the last time phil won a open by 12 strokes? for that matter, when has he won a open (british or us)?

 

phil did that at age 34, tiger still has 4 years to shot a 59 in a silly season event.
