Gotta Love Daly! I followed his group most of the Day on Wed. It was Daly, Gore adnd Perez...these guys were crushing the ball. BTW that is a Cigarette in his mouth while teeing off!

I was going to get Daly's book, but buying it is basically like putting $20 in a slot machine an not even getting a pull.

 

He'll just gamble it away. I'll save my $20 for my own blackjack table.

I purchased and read John Daly's autobiography. Definitely worth the money, in my opinion.

Trust me it is not photoshoped....If anyone has ever followed Daly on a Practice round they will agree with me when I say he smokes A LOT! I followed him Gore and Perez most of the day Wed. and I bet he smoked at least a pack of cigarettes.

Great guy who definitely has a bunch of vices...like 99% of everybody in this world!!! Everybody has a vice, whether it's drinking, smoking, chewing, gambling etc etc. He just likes all of them!!!

I like John Daly for being himself. So he doesn't fit the mold that the PGA would like to have everyone fit into. So hes an underachiever by some people standards but you know what. I really think john has finally found happiness in his life and if we caould all be so lucky to do the same what a great world this would be.

 

I think the people that dislike john the most wish that he had his talent so they could be a toru player, they work hard but just can't get to that level. It ticks them off that he doesn't have to work at and is compettitive alot of the time.

 

But you know its just like any other sport there are football player and others that have the talent that god blessed them with. I really think we should all be happy with what god gave us and make the best of it.

I'm a big JD fan, I loved The Daly Planet. I'm kind of a fat guy like JD, so I root for guys like him and Jason Gore.

 

However, it's hard to root for Daly when he plays like he did at Medinah. He made indifferent swings, poor putts, and generally seemed like he didn't want to be there. With all his talent, if he cared a little more, I think he could win once a year. Especially in the events that aren't full-field events.

I'm afraid it's not piping on his shirt. It's a Marlboro red. I was there and I smelled the smoke. It made me want one. I quit 1 year ago. When I was watching him, I was wondering if he was going to burn his left shoulder when he made his turn. He didn't....he's smoked and golfed before as it turns out.

I find it hard to pull for the guy lately. Everyone deserves a second chance, but this is getting a little ridiculous. Yes most people have vices, but it seems as if JD has no self control. The smoking, gambling, drinking, 15 cokes a day, and womanizing is getting a little old. How many wives has he had, 4 or 5? And his current wife just went to jail. It seems as if he stays on tour just to pay for his many problems.

 

It's sad because he is immensly talented. Not just power, his short game touch is a sight to behold. Just no work ethic. Giving up on his shots during the round is a disservice to the fans, his sponsors, and the tour.

 

I hope he turns it around, but it's been the same pattern forever.
