How bad are Callaway shafts?

OK. So I have been playing with Mizuno MP60s with Rifle Ultralite shafts (regular) and I got a set of Callaway Fusion irons for a good deal on eBay. (I am left handed.)

 

Wow! Can do everything I can with the 'Zunos plus gain an extra club and accuracy as well. And they are not offset or too clunky.

 

These have the standard Callaway graphite iron shafts, reg flex. And their lousy grips. My thought was to use these for winter golf here when the ball is like a rock and forged clubs are tough on us old guys. But, I may use them all the time!

 

If I do the later, I may want to invest in new shafts and grips. For the grips, its tour velvet logo down. What about shafts? Kind of like the graphite, for the distance, etc.

 

Is the Callaway shaft a good one?

The stock Callaway graphite shaft is okay. Its about as good as anyone else's stock graphite iron shaft.

 

By the sound of it you seem to be hitting it pretty well. Why not just re-grip it and stick with what works?

I haven't found a reason to change the stock graphite shafts in my BB 06 irons.
