I've seen at least 10 Rapture drivers in various shops across the country this last week. Most of them are from Wrx. Also there are a number of S-58s showing up already (just stock) with some i wedges. I've personally been called by 2 shops asking if I want S-58s. It isn't just a issue of location. A couple of shops were in the midwest. So I guess some of the custom orders and the less desireable stuff (S58s) is shipping earlier than Sept. 1. Should mean that everything will show up by mid week next week. What I really want is the moon bag---neatest product of the whole line up.

I got a call saying that the Rapture Irons i ordered mid August are in (gonna pick them up tonight). The original ship date was supposed to be Sept 15th, so this was quite a shock.

I just finished hitting a couple of buckets of balls with my old S59s and new S58s. The basic difference is a slightly higher trajectory with the S58s, very slightly shorter than the S59s. The forgiveness and feel are about the same. Other than the trajectory if the older irons weren't more play worn I probably wouldn't have been able to pick between the two models as I hit them. My original demo I thought the S58s were slightly softer feeling but I don't believe that to be true now that I have a set of production ones. Pretty much what I expected though.

At least PING seems to be ahead of schedule on production of their new stuff.

Exactly the same. Z-Z65. Same specs also.

That's great, those are going to be on pretty tight allocation shortly.

 

Just hit a small bucket with these, and man are they rocket launchers. I was hitting them 1 1/2 clubs longer then my old zings that I had been playing, with crappy range balls. Seemed pretty darn hard to not make solid contact, and even the miss hits lost minimal distance.
