How much stiffer is the v2 reg. inj a 906 or 905 R

Hi GUys, i was thinking of buying the 906 f2 with a proforce v2 reg. Is it true that the v2 plays stiffer than it says.I just heard that it is much firmer than it's supposed to be.My swing speed is 90 to 110. So should i get the v2 in my fw or driver

V2 stiff plays much stiffer in the 906, cpm's of 272 and up, X or double sometimes. I had a reg V2 or order but a stiff came in, and I did not want to wait for another. I went with the factory 4375 Titleist shaft in Reg and it measured out at 256cpm. So far I really like the club, gets the ball up well and very long. I'm going to let the guys on here figure out what shaft works great in it and then maybe change it.

The problem is the V2 in the 905R and the V2fairway in the 906f2 are actually almost completely different. The standard V2 in the 905R is what all of us are used to ...the V2 in the 906f2 is a super stiff super hich kick point... i have never in my life had a problem getting a club airborn and with the V2 fairway that comes in the 906f2 i had a hard time getting the ballflight to be consistent. the 906f2 w/ V2 fairway that titleist sent me had a flex that when measured on a 5 inch clamp came out to nearly a x2 or x2.5.

The V2 76 in the driver plays true to flex. The 906 and 585H V2's are very stiff, and my experience mirrors the other posters'. I went to the NV75 in the 906. I have a 108-110 mph driver ss. The 905R/V2 76 stiff combo works very well for me. The 906 and 585 the V2 was too stiff. What you have been hearing is definitely true.

 

I heard the same things about the V2 76 when it first came out, and found that it was not the lead pipe people were making it out to be. I thought people were perhaps over-reacting with these new V2 shafts in the Titlests, so I ordered them anyway. Found out the hard way.

if you put a standard V2 into the 906 or the V2 hybrid they will behave normally like the V2's in the 905R's....it is just sthe spe cific model of V2 that Titleist used in the 906 and 585.
