Taylormade Stand Bags??

Looking to get a Taylormade stand bag. I'm looking at the purelite, microlite, and the hybrid/stratus bag. Anyone have any experience with them? It seems like their opening isnt as big as others like Sun Mountain's at 9.5"...I looked at the specs and they say they're at 7" or 7.5" which seems kinda small. How was their durability? And did clubs get caught when picking them up?

I am interested in this as well. I really like the looks of the microlite, however, the size is a bit concerning, and I could see it creating even more problems if you have several woods/hybrids with headcovers. Any input would be greatly appreciated as well.

IMO the Purelite is the perfect size. I have a regular Purelight and also the R11 Purelight. Not too heavy, just the right weight and plenty of room for all of your clubs. The Microlite is pretty small, if you don't like your clubs getting tangled then I would go with a Purelight.

Thanks! Is there a huge difference between the Purelite and purelite 2.0? I also saw the Stratus 2.0 for a nice price...any difference between those?

I would check out the R9 stand bag. I have it and I love it, plus now it can be had pretty cheap.

I'll def check them out! Hopefully I can get a set of TM r9 tp's or burner 2.0 irons to match...going to an all TM bag since I won the Major Call Contest TM/Adidas had on facebook lol. Goodbye Nike...well at least their clubs...i do like their clothing and shoes. But yeah, the r9 bag looks sweet...just gotta find a store around here that still carries them.

if you walk, cant beat the micro-lite
best (lightest) bag (for me) since original sun mountain 3.5

dont worry about clubs banging when your 18holes covers 5+miles (and you walk - 98% of the time)

I have a clicgear that I use most of the time if I'm walking, but I still like to get out and carry when I'm playing an occasional 9 holes. It looks like I cant go wrong with any of their bags...just have to find one with the biggest opening.

Ended up picking a Sun Mountain 3.5 2011 version...great bag! the 9.5" opening is a huge pro. The pure lite was my first choice, but the retailer wouldnt price match something I saw online but they did price match the price of the 3.5. So far, this bag is awesome!

The dividers for the 3.5 are really well made and well designed. There's tons of room being a 9.5" opening, and i like the the 4way dividers better than a 14 way system. The purelites i believe had 6 which was nice too, but the 4 way opens up more and seems to have more room for clubs. Definitely check it out...you wont be disappointed!
