R11 guys. For this shaft to play like it does in other drivers with bbgm of 1.25-1.5 and the r11 at 2.25 did you tip it .75-1"? Trying to join that other site to ask Gerry direct but it won't let me for some reason. I have been told all other shafts in the r11's have to be tipped .75-1" to have them play true to flex with the bbgm were it is.

What do you have your 3 wood trimmed down to? Then how is your swing affected with your 3 wood. For instance are you able to hit different trajectories with it and also do you have to swing a certain way with the shaft (such as a "one preferred speed") or are you able to up your speed of your swing when you need to go at it without losing control of the ball?

Initial install at 44.75 and my preferred sw of D5. My SS is 110 and i load the shaft reasonably hard in transition. My first thought was it wasnt going to last long. I was hitting shots off the toe and the shaft felt too lively (almost mushy). After two range sessions I cut just shy of an inch off the tip and added a bunch of weight to keep it at D5. This didn't change the character or feel of the shaft at all. I started reading about the shaft and ended up dropping the SW in steps to D2. Every time i dropped the sw the strike point moved progressively away from the toe and towards the middle. Here are some photos from the tuning process that show what i am talking about (and how sensitive it is to SW). Im now playing it just short of 44" in a 9.5* J33r and loving it. I dont think it has anything to do with the fact that i tipped it, but mainly about shortening it and getting the SW right
