PGA Championship coverage on TNT

Too many commercials

Is anyone else watching the PGA on TNT? I swear I just timed it and they are splitting even time between actual golf coverage and commercials. I've never seen anything like this. They and the PGA should be ashamed.

If you are just tuning in, I'd recommend DVR'ing the coverage and coming back to it later on.

I gave up watching it and just went to the online coverage. I timed it and they were playing 2 mins of commercials after each 3 mins of coverage after 6pm EST. Absolutely horrible.

This is horrible, I literally don't want to watch live due to all the commercials. I'm usually good with commercials since I understand they are a necessary evil but this is worse than the Super Bowl!

How bad is the commentating? These people absolutely suck. Ruining a great tournament. They ruin the NASCAR races too.

I'm glad someone started this thread. The coverage has been miserable over the last 45 minutes. By my count they show 2 shots and the go to commercial. As Sir Charles would say "That terble man..terble"

Very pissed that there's no replay tonight since I forgot to set the dvr. Extremely pissed that what I did see was basically like watching highlights with commercials inbetween and not a real round. Three players each making a shot, 5 commercials, rinse and repeat.

I turned on the coverage around 2:30 and watched off and on until 6:30 and don't feel like I saw any golf.
I saw a lot of Rory holding his wrist(hope he's okay), commercials and thats about all.
It was about the worst coverage I've ever seen.

I sent in my disgust to TNT as well. I came home from work looking forward to seeing some coverage, and all I got was commercials. I'd flip away and kept thinking "well, maybe they'll be back on" only to be disappointed time and time again with more commercials. THIS IS A MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIP, not some January tour event.

I hit TNT and just now sent something to the PGA about how horrible the coverage was and how it was a disgrace to one of golf's majors.

Even the January tour events are covered better than the PGA was today.

Exactly!! The Golf Channel has better coverage of a fall series tour event than TNT exhibited today.

This is the only tourney TNT is down to now I think. They use to carry the Open Champ too, I'd imagine this will be the last year they have golf. This is awful, I mean they show one shot and then commercials. Come on ESPN or Golf Channel, time to set up and get the last Major.

You'd never know there was a golf tournament going on for 30 minutes there. It was a Mcilroy PT session, like none of the other 100+ players was hitting a shot.

It wasn't that bad. I watched at lunchtime and Feherty was great, Kostis was listenable for a change. Tons better than ESPN ever is.

There will be plenty of ads on non weekend coverage, just as there are when Golf Channel or ESPN is on. Get over yourselves, it's on only because of the ads, if another network could have done better it would have got the contract.

Not necessarily. Point is, TNT wasn't doing that bad and it's better than the event not being on.
