Who is responsible uninsured shipping

When selling it's pretty easy to offer insurance and if the buyer declines then safe to say the buyer bears the responsibility of a lost shipment.

When trading on the board I always ship insured, but who is responsible though when one of the parties doesn't ship insured. Should this always be brought up when trading?

always ship insured regardless... why ? because you are always responsible..atleast paypal will see it that way.

When I buy from a private seller, I always make sure I specify that the seller/shipper assumes the risk of delivery to my doorstep. As you may recall from law school, this is customarily designated as FOB Destination, where title passes upon delivery to the buyer's specified delivery point. Insurance, in this case, protects the seller.

 

If nothing is said about who bears the risk, I would assume that the seller/shipper assumes the risk of loss/damage during shipment. Implied in a BST transaction is the term that I will pay you $xxx, if you deliver the club to my doorstep. If you do not deliver, I am entitled to my $$$ back.
