any that use rechargeable?

Are there any laser rangefinders using a rechargeable battery yet? I know most use a 9v or round lithium right now.

I'm so used to recharging my GPS after 2 to 3 rounds, and I can't believe I haven't found a rangefinder that is rechargeable.

Go to sterlingtek.com. They have the rechargeable lithium battery for the Bushnell V2 for about $35. It includes a rechargeable battery, charger and a cable to recharge from your cars lighter. Works fine. They say it's good for about 500 recharges.

Why??

My rangefinder battery lasts all year, the GPS only 36 holes. There's no reason to want a rechargeable for the laser - given that the rechargeables self-discharge pretty fast compared to an alkaline it would actually require more maintenance from you.

I don't see the point. Go to Amazon.com and you can buy CR2 batteries cheap. I bought 12 for about $3 each. Will last me forever.

I would never trust a rechargeable in a tournament. I just carry an extra battery or two at all times.

While we're at it, I purchased a Leupold GX-1 back in Feb. of 2011. I started using it in March, have played at least 70 rounds, plus lots of practice up to this point in the end of November. The battery is still going strong, it seems. Should I take it out now for the next few months of winter and use it until it dies, or will it leak if it just sits? I am unsure. Any experience out there?
