Enjoying an afternoon brew. Maine Beer Company Another One IPA. First time having it. Not too bad. Smells dank with great lacing on the glass. Waiting for the new ghandi bot shipments swats 3 to 4 months is what I was told for cans. If anyone out in Chicago area would like to trade some brews I'm looking for zombie dust. I've got some Lawsons finest sip of sunshine 16oz willing to ship. There can be other beer I'd be willing to trade if anyone else is interested. Let me know.

I bought two cases at Meijer, so I should be able to enjoy it for the first half of the year. My neighbor usually buys 4 cases, and we ration it out so we can drink it year round

Overrated? Or over priced? I thought it was delicious. But it was a gift. Not sure 30 for a 4 pack is worth it. Not sure any 12oz beer quite is... but it's pretty tasty.

Currently in ABQ, home of La Cumbre. The elevated ipa is so good, I'll be bringing a case of that home as well as 5 or 6bottles of project dank and the cafe con leche. La Cumbre is gonna bust out soon, it's sooooo good.

After here headed to Colorado where I plan on going nuts haha

Honestly, not sure what retail is on it. Just know that I paid $30 for a 4 of Bourbon Barrel from Goose Island, so I assumed it was around the same. (And that's a similar price for the 120 minute and Raison d Extra.)

$8 to $10 a bottle was the going rate last year. Most places only sold a bottle or two per customer unless you are a regular on good terms somewhere. Interesting to see what it will be this year as every year they are making more and more.

Side note founders had CBS on tap at the brewery as of yesterday.

KBS is $20 for a 4 pack from the brewery. There were also a couple local places that were close to this price but only allowed 2 bottles. A lot of stores price gouge on beers. I tend to not shop at those places.

I've got access to unlimited, nearly, Pliny. While a great balanced IPA I find myself longing for the VT IPAs more and I get HFS/Alchemist regularly as one of my best friends is a regional sales manager in the greater Boston area. I'm serious about the trade though, I'd be willing to give anyone 2:1 dollar to dollar as the KBS is the Holy Grail of someone very dear to me and sharing it with them means more to me than a few dollars.

If Founders put the CBS on tap and you can go sample it please do. I got 5 of them when they were first released and still have 1. To be honest the first two were outstanding and they went downhill after that. It was markedly better inside 12-18 months of release.

I would agree that the Vermont IPAs are better than Pliny. I have had a few different VT IPAs and they are all really good.

Had this on tap at the new ballast point restaurant/brewery (my son live 3 miles from it). Quite refreshing. I also tried their habanero sculpin - let's just say they did not skip on the habaneros.

Otherwise I find ballast point to be a one note song - Sculpin. Most of their stuff is just mediocre but Sculpin is very, very good.

Otherwise I find ballast point to be a one note song - Sculpin. Most of their stuff is just mediocre but Sculpin is very, very good.

 

I might be in the minority of people who prefer big eye over sculpin. I also thought Victory at Sea was an awesome beer. Last visit to the little Italy tasting room was great, the had the big eye on cask with vanilla beans, it was sooo good!

 

Speaking of cask beer, anyone who is in Arizona on feb 19 should check out flannys Colorado firkin night, there should be around 10 Colorado breweries serving limited edition beers and cask selections.

I drank so many tasters of agave Maria when we were at lost abbey, it's so good!!! Just won't pay the $16 price for a lone 12 oz bottle

Picked up some of the elevation señorita horchata imperial porter, as well as the oilman bourbon barrel imperial stout, and false summit bourbon barrel quad
