Who will be next multiple major winner

Who do you think will be the next young guy to come along that could possibly be thron in Tigers side? I dont know if anyone will be as dominate as Tiger, but there could be someone who could win 5 or 6 majors that could steal a little of his thunder for a while, and maybe create some excitment and the rivalry everyone seems to want.

I like Jason Day and Ryan Moore, I think Ryan has the potential to get 'er done when he gets over the injuries that have plauged his first two seasons.

Gotta be either Adam Scott or Villegas(if he learns to putt). Otherwise he'll be the next Sergio.

That is what I am talking about, one of those guys may luck into a major someday, when they get on a hot streak with the putter, but if you cant putt when you are 26 then you wont ever get much better. I see those guys winnining the obligatory 1 or 2 majors that the name player usually wins. They will do it on a week when Tiger isnt in contention. Much like David Toms, or Davis Love. Does anyone see anyone on th horizon who can give tiger a run like Watson did to Nicklaus. Win 6-8 majors and snatch a few away from Tiger in the clutch.

Adam Scott seems to lack the killer instinct. Trevor Immelman is a gritty fellow. He might win a few.

Were Paul Casey to shake off the terrible British habit of being content with "having tried his best" he has the game to go low for four rounds under pressure.

I like Luke Donald, he can probably snatch away a British Open and a Masters victory in the next years. Nobobdy will really challenge Tiger though.

Hard to see any good young guns emerging as yet but there might be in a couple of years

Got to be someone owns those old-Goosen putting. (I don't know how Goosen's putting now, it's a while not seeing him on TV.) It's very hard, if not impossible, to beat current Tiger without a standy good putting.

 

Unfortunately I don't know any young guys owning that kind of putting now.

How about a young player who's already won a major?

 

My vote goes to Geoff Ogilvy. He's got all the tools it takes to be the best, I could definately see him winning 7 or 8 majors when his career is done.

It's amazing that all of the 'young guns' can't putt worth a damn or else they'd have won heaps of events. Seems like they're too busy perfecting their swings on te practice tee.

Trevor Immelman. He hits the ball a long way and won a couple events at the end of the year. Maybe once he gets use to playing in the US he will play even better.

to answer your question...there is no one in the current ranks..Ogilvy looks good..he is a streaky putter with a solid consistent game..He is the best amongst the young guys..same swing since he was 16...no chopping and changing...he could hold his own against Tiger in a last round pairing..

Ryan Moore will go back to a traditional take away and he will win a major. He has the stones to go with the game. Sean O'Hair will also win a major. Anybody who can go through what he went through with his Dad is tough enough to win a major. Ryan Moore at Augusta in 2009 and O'Hair wins the PGA this coming year.

I don't know if we'll see another Tiger for a while yet... as was mentioned the current crop seems to favor the driving range over the practice green.

Does nobody believe Sergio Garcia will win multiple majors? I think Garcia's current failing is mental and if he is able to overcome this he will certainly be a bright prospect with regards to majors in the future. I think that at the age of 26 he still has a lot of opportunities ahead of him and I am confident in his abilities.

My pick is going to be Villegas for one, just needs to keep his cool on those 4 footers. Other good picks I believe are Immelman, Poulter, Baddely for sure.

I agree with that list I think they could and probably win multiple majors.

 

I was also thinking Tadd Fujikawa the whole time reading this post so I also will have to agree with mikpga on that because he seems like he could have real potential as long as he doesn't go the same route Wie went...meaning turning pro at 16 and not playing more junior events and college golf.
