Prime times on the -bay?

When's a good season to sell?

I have a Toney Penna Model 12 and a Louisville Golf Smart model that I want to sell. Are there any prime seasons on the ebay when selling prices are higher than others? In Feb or March, as folks anticipate the coming season? in January when there may be pent-up demand for the toy someone really wanted?

For flyrods there are definite seller's markets. Are there for golf clubs?

I have been selling clubs on Ebay for 12 years. For me I take December through Feburary off except for unique clubs or clubs that sell all year round,like Collectible clubs.
I have noticed for persimmon woods on Ebay ,5 years ago you would be lucky to see 100 persimmons listed on Ebay on any one day. Now there are over 500 listed frequently daily so there are more to choose from and you can get then for nothing lots of times.
For people who play them I would wait til March at least, then you will get more people who are looking for gamers and you will get more bidders.
Just a few days ago an original set ,1,2,3,4 of Macgregor Toney Penna TPT Special sold for 55.00. That's a sad story .

It does seem to be a buyers market at the present time.
Maybe it'll get better in the spring for sellers.

I have been actively buying, selling and tracking vintage MacGregor persimmons on ebay for the past year. I've bought some really fine clubs and some restoration projects. I have not spent more than $50 on any single club or even a set of 2 or 3. On many occasions, I've bought clubs for $10 or less or a pair of fairway woods for $30 or so. Unless the auction is for an original set of 693s, a Wood Bros. Texan, or maybe a 945 or two-pro-signature MacGregor, there's often just one or maybe two bidders on an item. Just last week, I picked up a nicely-refinished 1950s M75 3-wood for $9! About a month ago I bought a really beautiful 653 3 & 4 wood set for $29. They were also 50s classics that had never been hit after a refinish. If you already had the clubs, you'd spend more than $29 getting them refinished.

Teevons is right... it is rather sad that few seem to want these clubs anymore. It is truly a buyer's market and I haven't noticed extra competition or higher prices during any particular month or time of the year.
