how to book vegas courses ?

Just a little advice please re a group of Englishmen playing golf in Vegas in November.. planing 3 rounds, so which is the best way to book tee times,..through the course direct or a golf breaks company..or even via the hotel? Any ideas which way would be most cost effective, any ideas of prices for November. Any advice is most welcome

Depends on the course you are playing. You can check golfnow.com to see what courses they offer discounts on and then wait until 7-21 days out to book. If you want to play Shadow Creek then you need to book a room with an MGM property and let them arrange your round for you (no price break there). A fair amount of the courses also send out promotional emails. Sign up now on the sites of the courses you are interested in and see what offers that send out as you get closer to your trip date.

I have booked directly through Walters golf several times they always have some packages available. They run Bali Hai, Royal Links and Desert Pines. They have a package now through May for $445 for 3 nights at the MGM Grand and two rounds of golf. I would suggest Bali Hai and Royal Links well worth playing. And then book a third round through golfnow.com for another course.

Do you gambIe? Because sometimes you can get rounds comped by a Casino host. I work look online Orbitz has great deals for airfare car and hotel.

I have worked at Shadow Creek and it is one of the best tracks you can play. If you can afford it, play there and you will not be disappointed. I would also recommend Coyote Springs golf club about 1 hour from the strip north. Incredible desert Jack Nicklaus course. Very similar to Dove Mountain where the Pros play the World Match Play Championship. Not crowded and one the best conditioned courses you will ever see!

It really depends on where you want to play. Golf now is great IMO, but I've found it tough to use if you have more than 1 foursome. Some of the courses have stay and play packages with hotels that are near them. That's probably the best way to go since you need a place to stay anyhow.

This, if the course you want to play is listed through them. Although with EZLinks, you can reserve up to 12 days in advance. GolfNow is usually 7 days in advance.

Thanks fellas, gonna use this advice to continue my research,.. I don't want to let the other 15 guys down as I have been tasked to arrange the golf.! One of the courses I am really wanting to play is wolfs creek, it looks stunning. My research continues.......

Ahh...if you are booking 16 guys then I would call some of the courses you have in mind directly and ask about how to best book large groups. Remember that many courses have some flexibility on the rate if you're going to have that many guys playing. Try Walters Golf and ask about booking a morning round at Royal Links and an afternoon round at Desert Pines (sister courses about 5 miles apart). The same could be tried with a place like Paiute that has 3 courses together.

One tip I would try before asking for a discounted rate is to call a course where you could play 36 holes (if that's something you want to do) and ask if you can get both rounds covered for 1 green fee. That's what my group of 16-24 typically arranges for our monthly outings.

Wolf Creek is a minor haul from Vegas (about an hour drive) but it is a beautiful course. The elevation changes alone make it a fun round and are likely something you've never seen on your side of the pond.

Last Vegas trip, I rented a small car (Nissan Versa) for $68 TOTAL for a week! The price started out over $160, then it kept getting SLASHED!.

Stay away from Walters golf courses. Over priced and under manicured. Way better golf in Vegas with cheaper prices.

[/b] cant wait to get back there..golfed in Daytona,stunning... golfed in Myrtle Beach,unbelievable aligators on the fairways, Oyster Bay etc.... holidayed in New York, best restaurant ever, The River Cafe under the Brooklyn bridge, got married in Vegas 2003,[b]best place i have ever been too[/b]... back to Vegas Nov 2012, 16 lads holiday and golf stopping at Ceasars Palace, All advice greatly appreciated fellas..... just contacted Wolfs Creek,... looking for another 2 places to play... Paiute looks special but taking my time and want to get it right for guys.
